Why are so many turned off by the B-Horror genre?

Because most people have "mainstream" taste. True Фаны to the genre know that B Фильмы are Фильмы that are еще times than not made FOR the fans. They are almost always my избранное over a lot of mainstream horror.

To be honest, I think those aren't true Фаны of the genre. или they are people who just jump on the bandwagon when something gets popular. They like whatever the people around them like, because they want to be accepted.
