John has dated Diana Hyland who was 15 years older than him and sadly during filming Saturday Night Fever, Diana died from breast cancer and John flew back in Los Angeles to her funeral and when he got back some of his co stars, Joey and Paul told us how he was crushed and devastated and would sit in a corner and grieve. :(
