Эй,
there Huli's! Well here is part 4 of my Huli Fairytale. Technically I have already written the Далее to parts and I already know the end. I don't have as much patience as I should have so I tend to want to push things along quicker than I should. In any case, my dearest Bea keeps me grounded. To catch Ты up, Lisa and Hugh have had a spell placed on them by one of two sister witches. She is horribly jealousy of their love. I hope that Ты have read the first three parts или Ты will be very confused. Please enjoy this and remember it is just a little detour from normal.
Thank you!
Pt. 4
Hugh сказал(-а) nothing but stood there looking at the piano. Something he loved so very much, but the thought of being told he must play didn’t sit well with him.
The woman before him appeared even еще sinister with the shadows of the candle dancing across her face. Night was falling; the moon had won its battle against the sun for now.
“Don’t be afraid. I won’t hurt you.” She stepped closer to him.
“Who are you?” he was startled to hear his own voice as it hadn’t left his mouth for over twelve hours now.
The woman looked down her angled nose at him. Her eyes were as green as the clothes she wore. She reached a cold, bony hand out from her sleeve and pointed again to the piano.
“Play.” She сказал(-а) it еще insistently this time.
Hugh sat down at the Пианино before him. It was indeed an amazing instrument. It was beautiful in fact, but the beauty was paled by the situation as he found himself in.
“What do Ты want to hear?” He asked her.
“Surprise me” she said.
Hugh touched his hands to keys and began to play. It was technically right, he hit all the notes as he should, as the song was written, but it sounded еще like a player Пианино and less like a work of art. Mavis seemed totally unaware that he wasn’t playing his best. Hugh stopped, exhausted and hung his head.
“What’s the matter?” Mavis asked with a slight hissing sound.
“I’m too tired and I’ve been pulling weeds all день and my hands hurt.” He сказал(-а) it as a matter of fact and somewhat unmoved by the thought that this woman held his fate in her hands or, claws as they were.
Mavis looked down a bit as if contemplating the position she had put him in.
“My name is Mavis by the way. I can see Ты are clearly exhausted so very well then, get some sleep.” She pivoted as if on wheels and glided up to what he imagined was the door to the house.
Hugh rose from the Пианино and looked out the glass in the door at Lisa who was working under the moonlight. He was thinking how beautiful she looked with the light softly playing across her black curls. He wanted to talk to her. He wanted to apologize for the mess they were in. He reached for the door, but it would not open for him. He picked up an empty clay pot and flung it towards the glass Стена to no avail. It did not budge, nor break nor even make a clanging sound. The pot rolled to the floor completely unharmed.
Hugh’s anger gave way to amazement. He reached down to pick up the pot and examine if for himself. No, there was not even a crack across its width. He set the pit back down in its former place upon what appeared to be a potting bench.
Hugh went to the other side of the greenhouse where there was a cement window сиденье, место, сиденья that served as a постель, кровати as well. There was a подушка there and as he lay down he swore he could smell Lisa’s perfume. He put his hand under the подушка to draw it closer when he felt something underneath it. He pulled out a small notebook and a pen. He looked through it and all of the pages were blank. It dawned on him that if he wrote something to Lisa in the book, she would find it when it was her turn to sleep.
He thought about what to say and started. “Dear Lisa, I am so sorry that I have dragged Ты into this mess. I am not sure why they have decided to target us but I believe it has something to do with the one named Mavis. She asked me, или rather demanded me to play the Пианино for her tonight, but it was not my best. Please write back to me if Ты see this. Love, Hugh.” He considered if it was appropriate to write the word “love”, but he searched his сердце and he knew that it was in fact love. He also knew that this was the reason for the spell they were both under. He laid his head on the подушка and breathed a deep breath before drifting off to sleep.
As dawn crept over the mountains, Lisa pulled weeds in silence, waiting for the few moments when she would get to see Hugh. That small consolation was what she looked вперед to. The moon was just a sliver in the sky and she looked up at it as the sun was sharing the same space. The door to the green house opened and Lisa rose to her feet. She moved towards the wooden door with the little glass window in it. And towards Hugh, who moved as she did with no will of his own. Their eyes met and she had that comfortably excited feeling she had when he was near. Something told her that as long as they were both sharing the same earth, they would be together, at the same place at the same time and with no magic keeping them apart.
As they passed she moved towards the green house door and then through it. The door closed behind her. Tears filled her eyes and she climbed on the window сиденье, место, сиденья that doubled as a постель, кровати as buried her face in the подушка that was there. Her fingers brushed against something hard and square. It was the journal that Hugh had written in. She glanced around the room to make sure she was alone before reaching for it. She opened it and read the words he had written. She smiled to herself and then walked over to the glass Стена that faced the garden. She watched him working for a while and then she heard a noise at the far door. It was Melvina who entered carrying a tray of Еда and at her feet, a large, black cat.
“Good Morning” Melvina spoke first.
“Hello” Lisa spoke back still not sure what to make of this woman whose intentions she was questioning. “And who is this pretty kitty?” Lisa сказал(-а) as she bent down to pet the cat that had already begun to purr and rub against her ankles.
“His name is Spirit. He seems to be a bit out of sorts this morning though.” Melvina moved over to a cupboard and opened it. Inside were all sorts of bottles in all shapes, sizes and Цвета of glass. Each one appeared to have some sort of tonic или herb inside. Lisa picked up Spirit and stroked his beautiful, thick пальто as Melvina reached for jar after jar after jar and mixed it in a white bowl and added what smelled like tuna. Then she put it on the floor for Spirit to eat.
“That should fix him up.” Melivina closed the cupboard back up.
“What is it? If Ты don’t mind my asking.” Lisa was curious.
“That is what some people call “magic”, but it’s really just some herbs and things that will help his stomach if that is the problem.
“Hairball?” Lisa asked.
“Well I assume so and this should work if it is. By the way, I thought Ты might like a hot bath. If Ты go through the curtain here Ты will find one waiting for you.”
With those words, Melvina and Spirit passed through the door and back to the house. Lisa had Остаться в живых track of the various doors leading in and out of this enormous greenhouse. She knew the one that led to the house, the one to the garden and now there was a dark purple curtain. Behind it was a small room in shades of dark green and purple tile with various plants and flowers. It seemed to be an extension of the greenhouse which faced the sea. It was beautiful. In the middle of the room was a big claw foot tub full of water with a small таблица Далее to it with various soaps on it. A sink and mirror were against the side Стена and a towel and change of clothes waited on a on a chair.
Lisa crawled into the bath and felt the dirt and garden grime melt away as she scrubbed. It felt wonderful but she couldn’t help wondering why she was in this situation in the first place. It seemed so foreign to her. When she dried off, her clothes, her own clean clothes were laid on the chair. She changed, brushed her hair and teeth and then went back through the curtain to the waiting window seat. She took out the journal and wrote back to Hugh.
“Dear Hugh, I have met this sister named Melvina. She seems to be kinder than Mavis. Apparently Mavis is the one who has cast this spell on us. I am also sorry for this mess and fear may be my fault rather than yours. I am sure we will get out of this somehow. Let’s keep Письмо to each other please. Maybe between the two of us we can figure something out. I look вперед to your Далее entry. The black cat is named Spirit by the way. I don’t see a Пианино anywhere but the уборная, туалетная комната is very nice. I should get to sleep now before it’s my turn. Love, Lisa.”
She thought about Письмо the word “love” but her сердце told her that it really was love. She had known that almost right away so she wrote it down. She tucked the journal under her подушка and fell fast asleep. When she woke again, the sun was beginning to set over the sea and from the mountain вверх in the distance she could see the moon making it’s ascent. Like clock work, she rose from the window seat, walked to the door and walked out into the garden just as Hugh passed her on his way into the greenhouse. As always they took the chance to look into one another’s eyes, hoping that they could somehow read what they couldn’t speak.
Thank you!
