Chapter 4: One Step Closer
“I have a surprise for you.” Richard сказал(-а) while embracing his love. She was cooking breakfast for him, like she always did. It was something she would never stop doing.
“What kind of surprise?” Rachel queried.
“Can’t tell you.” he smirked.
“Oh come on! Ты can’t just tell someone Ты have a surprise for them like that and just leave it there. That’s just plain mean!” she complained.
Richard hated seeing her this agonized, but for some reason he couldn't stop smiling.
“I’m sorry but if I tell you, the surprise would loose all of its magic.” Richard сказал(-а) as he gave her another Kiss on the cheek.

As much as he regretted that decision, he knew it was the right thing to do.
“No, no, no, no! This is all wrong! This is a freaking disaster!” Celine screamed while opening a box she just received from the mailman.
“What’s wrong, honey?” Paul asked concerned as he put down his book and rushed over to his love. “I specifically ordered these wedding invitations in cream! Does these look like cream to you?” she roared. “Yeah?” Paul answered. He could not have been еще confused.

After an awkward silence, he replied: “I’ll let my assistant contact Ты Rachel. It’s good to finally see Ты again.” "You too," Rachel whispered. And with that, Charles Leslie ran of to his Далее meeting.
“Wow, that’s not the first impression I was planning to make." Richard said, still in shock. "Your dad’s a minister? Ты told me he worked in finances!” Grateful that the worst part was over, Rachel confessed: “He does, he’s the minister of finances.”
“Rach, why didn’t tell me? I thought we were honest to each other about stuff like this.” Richard questioned. Rachel knew she had to tell him. “I’m sorry, it’s just not something I like to brag about. It hasn’t worked much to my advantage before, so I prefer to hide it, even for myself." Before Richard could speak again, they heard a familiar set of voices in the distance: “Hey guys!” It was Paul and Celine, strolling hand and hand as well. “Look who we have here! How are the lovebirds doing?” Paul crowed.

Maybe we should wait with this bachelor party thing until Nikolaj and Paul Salvatore get here.” “Who’s he?” both of them asked in perfect harmony. “A very good friend of mine.” Richard answered. And maybe even my best man, he thought to himself.
“I’m sorry.”
Paul and Celine had just arrived at their apartment as well. “What for?” Paul asked.
“You know what for!" Celine growled. "I made a complete fool out of myself today. In front of the entire restaurant, didn’t Ты see the look on Richard and Rachel’s faces? I was so embarrassed!” She decided to look down.
