Explain it to me - this Peyton and Lucas thing

An update: I have now watched the entirety of the leyton Любовь story, and I've gotta say I am extremely disappointed. The end of season 5 they left a cliff hanger like "who will Lucas choose" and actually put Brooke in there as if she were an option to make it seem as if Lucas CHOSE Peyton. But Lucas' only choice was Peyton или Lindsey and it was never entirely clear if Lucas had even heard the email that Lindsey left him saying she wanted him back. So a skeptic again would wonder, did he choose Peyton because there was no other choice? Even throughout season 6 they NEVER discuss why Lucas was so desperate to marry Lindsey или so desperate to get Lindsey back. Peyton just jumps to marry Lucas like a desperate woman without ever being clear herself what happened. To my knowledge she didn't even know Lindsey had decided she wanted Lucas back so Peyton is unaware that Lucas ignored (or didn't hear) Lindsey's message so she runs to marry Lucas like a desperate woman not caring if his first choice was Lindsey. They have an awesome opportunity in season 6 to clarify Lucas's feelings for Lindsey when he proposes to Peyton with a different ring other than the one he gave to Lindsey that was Keith's special ring. Peyton tells him she had always imagined wearing Keith's ring and all Lucas says is he thought she wouldn't want to because of Lindsey and he was sorry. Well where's the sweeping declaration that giving the ring to Lindsey was a mistake? или that he only gave it to her cause he was mad at Peyton. или hell he purposely gave it to her to hurt Peyton. Anything at all to make that ring about Peyton and not Lindsey. But no. Just a sorry and Peyton is all smiles and ecstatic to be getting a secondhand ring. Lucas never convinced me in the entirety of their relationship that he loved Peyton in a way that was worthy of her Любовь for him. Yes Peyton convinced me. She desperately clung to Lucas even when it killed her to do so but Lucas - I never saw it. Not once. And that's why leyton will never be a great Любовь story to me

The cliffhanger at the end of season 5 was stupid and clear attempt to get people to tune in for the Далее season. About the LLP situation in S5, it was clear to me that Lucas was still in Любовь with Peyton and settled with Lindsay because he didn't want get hurt by Peyton. Lindsay even broke up with him because she knew was always going to Любовь Peyton еще than her even if Lucas didn't to admit. If Lucas was 'madly' in Любовь with Lindsay as some people claim, why did he willingly cheat on her, run to her everytime someone asked if he was still in Любовь with Peyton, wrote a book about Peyton bringing meaning to his life got jealous when she showed any signs on moving on, was still горький about Peyton 'saying no' to his proposal and not going to his book-signing in LA and only proposing to Lindsay after she found the ring and to stop her leaving. Even his best friend told to not marry Lindsay after his novel and then told him in the season 5 finale to need follow his сердце because that to people getting hurt. Even Chad himself admitted Lucas wasn't doing in this storyline, and if he was, Lindsay would've left at the altar. Should also mention that no one on the Показать brought Lucas’ ‘Lindsay is the one, I’m madly in Любовь with her’ act, including Lindsay herself. The fact is that couldn’t convince his fiancee he was madly in Любовь with her and not Peyton says nothing about the way he acts? Even Brooke pointed that Lucas’ words and actions never matched up when he was in a relationship with anyone wasn’t Peyton. If anyone got a secondhand ring, that was Lindsay because last time I checked he proposed to Peyton first plus Ты do really think Lucas would've proposed to Lindsay if she didn't find that ring specially considered he just proved минуты before he didn't Любовь and care for her enough? I doubt it. If Ты think Lucas doesn't love/need Peyton does him, did Ты miss 6x17 he admitted he couldn't live without her или 5x05 where he was Остаться в живых and didn't know what to do without her. What about the times Lucas risked his life to save hers? Right Lucas doesn't need her at all lol.
