Can someones feeling just go away?

So i met this guy at school and a few weeks into the год i started liking him and im pretty sure he likes me back. We texted and called each other all the time. And we were really close friends. He started dating one of my Друзья and it lasted for 2 weeks and when he told me why they broke up he сказал(-а) i like someone else and i asked who and he wouldn't tell me. And we flirted a lot and people kept on saying that we would be a cute couple and that we liked each other. Our teacher had a dog and we would always walk it together and when we were walking the dog he would take off his рубашка sometimes and I remember this one time it was raining really bad and we were walking the dog and we standing under a roof and we were soaked and he wasnt wearing a рубашка and we were just standing there looking into each others eyes. I was to scared to make a move. And a bunch of other stuff like that happened. And his best friend would always tell me that the guy liked me. And when the год was over he went to another school and we stopped on talking. But one of my Друзья сказал(-а) that he was going to ask me out but he switched schools. And a год later hes back at the school that we went to but im at a different school and i visit the school when i get a chance and we dont really talk because hes very quiet but he was never like that before. Do Ты think he still likes me?
