David Luiz could have been sent off on multiple occasions, especially wth that elbow on Hernandez which the ref had a clear view of. [And yes, I get the irony of that statement after Rooney didn't get sent off] But Luiz played so dirty last night.
But it wasn't just a single decision it was numerous ones - IMO it wasn't a penalty either. If Smalling had elbowed the guy in the face, it probably wouldn't be a penalty because apparently that isn't even worth a booking anymore!
If these events hadn't happened then Vidic wouldn't have lost his cool and he would be playing for us against Liverpool. I'm so bitter about that.
I know we sometimes get dodgy decisions in our favour, but that doesn't justify a bad referee. And I swear we played Chelsea last year and the refing was bad then as well.
Generally refereeing has been dodgy this season, and I mean decisions going both ways. We so need video technology for the big decisions ONLY.
The referees are only human and they do miss things and get it wrong. Bad refereeing decisions shouldn't be detemining the outcome of games.
