Like maybe hopeless romantics are drawn to the romantic comedy/drama movies, cynics & angry people are drawn to horror, dreamers are drawn to sci-fi/fantasy, occasionally immature & funny people are drawn to comedy, etc. It may seem like an obvious thing, and of course some people will come here and go "It depends." because that's not a cliche thing to say. My favorite genres are horror & action and I think a lot of that has to do with any pent-up anger I have. I like violence.

A lot of times, I think so. I'm a kind of dreamy/romantic person, so I like romantic comedies. I'm also really adventerous, so maybe that's why I like action movies. Although I do like most horror movies, I don't really consider myself an angry/violent person, but I do like really intense things like that.

Some of my favourites do a lot, others not so much.

Fantasy is my favourite genre and I am something of a dreamer. But I also enjoy romantic movies when in fact I'm something of a cynic and don't have a romantic bone in my body. I also love action films but I wouldn't say that I'm full of pent up anger or anything like that. Movies are an escape for me. I think probably from the boringness that is me. lol

no not at all; it is just what you find entertaining. I love action/war movies but am not like that in the least way in real life; i'm meek, quiet and avoid any type of confrontation AT ALL COSTS!

Though I'm leaning closer to 'no' - well I don't know how it is for most people, but for me I don't think the movies I like match my personality.

I don't have one favourite movie genre, so, umm... I don't know.

Like fanfly, I do consider myself a dreamer and I like fantasy a lot. I like some romantic comedies but I wouldn't call myself a romantic person. I much prefer comedies that are a little dark, or don't have that much romance in general. I like action films but I'm not really adventurous or daring. I like mystery, I guess I would call myself a mysterious person. Maybe. Um, I like anything that has a good plot and a lot of violence and gore. Like jlhfan624 said, I think my love for this comes from my pent-up anger (I have a LOT of that) and I just love violence. I love watching a good fight & the 'You're Going Down' feel to it. The gore part- well, I'm not sure if I'll freak out anyone or end up humiliating myself by saying this but here goes nothing: I like blood. Ever since I was a little girl, I've always had some kind of weird fascination with it. I love seeing someone covered in blood after a good fight.
Um......I think I'll just shut myself up now.

I mainly like drama's and horror.

I have a lot of stored away anger & watching horror movies is kind of a release. I'm also a bit of a drama queen & often make little things into big messes :/
