lol, i am like really late in answering but i just feel like answering for any other people who come up with this problem.
Ты could talk about the history of china
Ты could talk about how Мулан is very ahead in feminism for that country and time
About how Мулан has a deeper meaning that even though everyone tells Ты that Ты will fail, that if Ты try, Ты can come out on top.
Ты could do TQE (technique quote effect) so pick a couple of scenes what is the technique (so in that particular shot choose a technique so dialoge, music, camera shot, camera angle and describe it) the quote (so then tell us what the actual technique does) and effect (what does this tell the viewers, either in symbolism или some other way)
i'll give an example. this is actually in mulan.
scene:mulan has just дана the guys the idea of climbing up the poles to save the emperor and as they are using the scarves to pull themselves up that particular shot there.
Technique: Camera shot
Quote: Мулан is climbing ahead of the guys just a couple of paces in front
Effect: this shows that over the course of time Мулан has become stronger than all the guys, and is somewhat in front of the game, compared to before at the start of the film when she lagged behind not sure who she was

The essay should be like the movie with the same sort of... how do Ты explain it... I guess, "feel" to it to make it click with the movie. Go to the Walt Дисней Анимация site. Ты might find some info on the movie, director, producer, animator, and how it was made.

I'm just posting for anyone else too, but I think they should also look into the original ballad, and Показать what they've missed out или included, and how the story's become its own.
I also think Ты should look at how they created Mulan's personality, and how she looks etc.
