I really don't get it. I like him..

I don't get it, but I do get why some people find the idea of him as Bae stupid.

I read a lot of comment that said he's a coward, not a real man, weak, easily manipulate, etc ..., but most of people who said that ship emma with someone else and I don't think "I hate him because...and also I prefer her with.." Is a good reason

I think it's fine if you don't like some character that's your opinion, but I do think it's disturbing if you also hate the guy who played that character and send him a lot of hate comment, that just cross a line

I like him. I personally don't see too much hate on him but when I do they say it's because he's weak, he left Emma, he tricked Emma, he got Emma in jail, and he's a 'no good' thief' etc. Which in my opinion is a reasonable reason to not like him I suppose. As rere said though if they only hate him because of shippings, that's kind of silly.

Well.. As far as I can see all the flaws people see in Neal.. are really August's flaws.
And Neal is very courageous in my view. To leave the woman you love to go be a hero, so that she can fulfill her destiny.. now that takes a lot of courage and.. true love, true & selfless love.

I really haven't seen Neal hate and if they do i don't get it i actually like him and he did leave but he really didn't want to but at the time it was the best thing for emma

I think it's kind of ironic that alot of the people who hate Neil because he's weak, abandoned Emma ect also ship her with hook who we all know has his own long list of flaws. However with most of the hate I've seen they don't try to make excuses. They make it pretty clear the don't like him because he gets in the way of their OTP. In my cause Emma/Neil is my OTP can't wait until their reunion.

Honestly, the simplest (and most likely, IMO) explanation is that the fans who dislike him want Emma to hook up with someone else. Lay on as many reasons as you like, but I feel like this is what it all boils down to.

Well, neal receive a lot of hate on tumblr and just like Princess-Yvonne said MRJ receive a lot of hate on twitter, poor guy
But I rarely see fans hating neal on this spot, it seem many people like him in here

I don't consider a handful of people on one specific website to be "most" of the fandom... That's actually kind of a ridiculous notion.

it's not a specific site. there are many sites (tumblr, facebook, twitter etc.). and I for one think hating the actor who plays a character IS the ridiculous thing.

I don't like Neal (the character) but I don't hate the actor.

I am comparing it to the other actors of the show.
Since you want comparisons, all of the actors in OUaT combined get the least amount of hate out of any show I have ever watched. (Except maybe Political Animals, but since there were only six episodes, I'm not sure how much that counts.)

But when you realize that there aren't even hundreds of people doing this (I think it would be a stretch to say 30 people are doing this), and there are thousands (if not more) fans/people who watch the show regularly, you'll realize that this really isn't the big deal you are making it out to be. Majority of the fandom isn't doing anything.

my pick does say 'so much hate'. it surprised me too to see so much hate coming from OUAT fandom, especially because it generally appreciates its characters/actors.

Your pick says "so much hate" and your comment says "majority of the fandom." Again, there is not "so much hate" and "majority of the fandom" isn't doing anything.

I checked out that link as well, it looks more like a mocking of haters to me. I love this character Asami and she used to get a bit of hate as well, so much that someone mad a blog about her. They'd post things like 'Helps get boyfriend into competition... snobby b***' which is similar to 'leaves car to girlfriend... f***ing Neal'. What both of those blogs do is take ridiculous crap haters say and exaggerate it's ridiculousness. There was also a post saying 'Ever since you made this blog there's been less hate in the Neal tag'. So I don't think that it's a hate tag. I'm not saying this to prove you wrong, I'm saying it so you (hopefully) won't be bothered by it anymore.

I'm not saying there isn't any hate either, because yeah, I've heard about the twitter thing. I just don't think he gets more than any other celebrity. Each celebrity gets a share of hate, it's part of the fame. But no I don't support bashing a celebrity through tweets.

What I'm saying is that MAJORITY of the fandom is not hating him. 30 people out of 100,000 is not even close to majority.

I have a serious problem with people lumping a large number of people into one group because of a very tiny group of people.

n this spot, it's rare to see an actor got blast from fans because he played a character in this fandom, as far as I know, only him and ginniffer (remember when she got attack on twitter and tumblr because of her swan queen statement?), that kinda hate was scary and even though it was did by not many people it still can put an embarrassment to the whole fandom
