It's painfully obvious that she does truly love her daughter and I fail to see how people can say she doesn't. I guess this is what I deserve for season 1 when I kept saying Regina didn't love Henry. Boy, karma is a real B*TCH! Anyway, she freaking read a story to her unborn child, knowing that no one was going to hear her or believe that she was trying to win them over with looking soft. She was just trying to bond with her child before it would be taken away from her. All she's done this season was to have her daughter in her life. Does she go about it the right way? No, but neither did Regina in the first two seasons but she CLEARLY loved Henry in those seasons just as much as she does now. She has never had anyone, other than her adopted mother that died when she was young, that truly loved her unconditionally. She finally had a chance to have someone in her life to love her unconditionally and for her to love. She loved Rumple, but we all know what a disaster that was for her. When someone wants to be loved so much, they will do anything to hold on to it. Rumple caused so much suffering to get to his son and Regina didn't regret any suffering she did because it got her Henry. When she saw her daughter was gone she was absolutely torn apart and felt so much love in her heart when she held her daughter for the first time.
No, I don't believe a woman can really love her daughter unless she gives her daughter the best chance. I think she can grow to love her daughter as SherlockStark alluded to but I don't think she really *loves* her daughter yet. Similar to how Cora had loved her daughters even though she couldn't really (because she didn't have her heart) so she only loved them selfishly for what they did for her. I think Zelena also only loves her daughter for the purpose that it gives her, herself, not actually out of selfless maternal love for her child.
I think the baby is important to her, but I don't think it's love in the traditional sense. It's more a case of 'this is mine'. She's too selfish and uncaring to love, and she clearly doesn't want what's best for that baby, only what's convenient for Zelena.
I think she does. I feel that is so messed up that she don't know how to express it or really feel it but i think she loves her. Maybe more selfishly at the moment but i guess the baby will be her redemption -if it happens ofc-
I think Zelena loves her daughter, because she feels that she has someone who LOVES HER. Her feelings are all about her receiving love from her daughter, instead of giving the latter her love. But I think she'll eventually change her view.
I don't think she can ever really Love anyone. If she really understood "real love" she would not have done all those awful things. Becoming the Wicked Witch, Holding Rumple captive against his own free will, Killing Neal, Trying to murder Snow's innocent baby and then tricking Robin in the most vile way imaginable.
So I believe that she can never truly love anyone.
