Okay Anita was horrible for trying to kill her daughters best friend but it wasn't actually a parenting move. Maurice tried to wipe Belles memory away

Anita is sort of like Cora in some ways. Cora killed Daniel because she thought it was "best" for Regina. Anita probably thought she was protecting Red in a way and doing what she thought was "best" for Red's life.

I don't think Milah is that bad a parent, but I find Rumple awful. And yeah, I feel like he should have gone before, Milah and Cora.

I don't blame Anita. She was after all more wolf then anything and she was just protecting her pack.

Exactly...also the fact that Quinn got killed made her want revenge which isn't unusual.

Snow was a threat to her pack even if it wasn't her fault but for a wolf that wouldn't matter. Red was the exception because she was still more human then wolf.

I think if Anita had been given more time she would've been a better mother, but she got killed so we didn't see much of her relationship with Red. ^^

Ok that does not make any sense. You'd rather he tell a 4 year old that his mother was taken as a sexual plaything for a group of pirates until they tired of her at which point they would kill her?

I don't know what I would say but i definitely wouldn't say she's dead that is absolutely disgusting to say that to a child. I might not tell the truth either though....maybe that she left or something, but anything but that. So yes it does make sense.

But as far as Rumple knew she was dead or soon to be. Would you have preferred that he lied and let Bae believe that she had abandoned him? Saying she was dead was as close as he could get to what he thought was the truth without being to graphic.

You must not spend a lot of time around small children. You should never lie to children about things like that. They are more perceptive then you think. They will find out eventually and the lie will come back to bite you. Even if you think you are protecting them it will only sting more that they learn that you lied to them. The truth although it can be hard is always better in the long run, for you and them.

I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters who are younger than me. 2 of them are under 10. IMO it's worse to lie. He should just say she got kidnapped by pirates, that's the truth. He didn't know she was dead. I just think he's a horrible man and father after saying that. Fair enough if you have a different opinion but I will never agree.
