In my eyes, no matter how bad I yearn for peace, I know that with the existance of religion, world peace is an impossibility.

Take away religion, and maybe just a small, slight chance. But I highly doubt it. Man's true nature, the whole duality thing, the other side of the coin, get's in the way. Capable of love, but capable of hate and violence too.

Someone once said, "You can have peace or you can have freedom. But don't count on having both at the same time."

Expanding on the quote, I see it as Peace requires strict stabability and government control.

Freedom requires the opposite, anarchy.

Which one do you want?

Just thoughts to munch over...not sure if this point of view is accurate, but I think it's worth digesting for brain food.
