Today was Good Friday. We got a день off from school. I was walking down the улица, уличный with John, and I saw Kimberly, the girl who betrayed me. I kept my head down, hoping she wouldn't notice me, but she did. She said, "Hey, Grace!" I said, "Hey, Judas!" John said, "Oh, so, that's the girl who stabbed Ты in the back." I nodded. She said, "You're not still sore at me, are you, Grace?" I said, "I forgive, but I never forget." Suddenly, John stuck it to her. He said, "How dare Ты do this thing to Grace! She had been nothing but nice to her, and Ты took her сердце and ripped it into shreds! Ты spent all this time with Grace, and she still means nothing to you?!" Kimberly said, "Stay out of this! This doesn't concern you!" He said, "Yes, it does! Grace is part of my family as far as I'm concerned. Nobody hurts my family and gets away with it!" She said, "You really need to get a haircut, man. You're such a hippie." He said, "Yeah, and you're a horse's ass. What's your point?" I laughed. Kimberly came up to me and knocked me to the ground. She began beating on me, and John pulled her off of me. He said, "Oh, no, Ты do not! If Ты think you're going to beat her up on my watch, you're mistaken! I'd like to beat Ты up and throw Ты down a staircase and see how Ты like it!" She said, "You're not going to do that, are you?" He said, "No, Kimberly. I'm not like you." He let her go, and she ran away. He helped me to my feet. I said, "Thanks, John." He said, "You're welcome, Grace. Are Ты okay?" I said, "I'm fine, John. I'm not hurt at all." He said, "Good." He took me home. I was so glad John stood up for me. He told me, "I never got that lucky when I was your age."
