падуб, holly, холли and Jayce were starting high school. The two Друзья walked to school together. It was in the opposite direction of their middle school, but the high school was still walking distance. As they walked there, падуб, holly, холли asked, "Do Ты think our Друзья will be there?" Jayce said, "Yeah, I think so." When they arrived on campus, they didn't see any of their Друзья there. Jayce said, "Maybe they're running a bit late." As the two of them talked, a boy they did not know approached them. He appeared to be a little older than they were. He seemed friendly, so they did not feel any apprehension. He said, "Hi. My name's Jonathan, Jon for short. What are your names?" Jayce said, "I'm Jayce." падуб, holly, холли said, "And I'm her friend, Holly." Jon smiled and said, "It's nice to meet you. Are Ты two just starting out?" Jayce said, "Yes, this is our first год of high school." He said, "I see. This is my секунда year." After the колокол, колокольчик, белл rang, he showed падуб, holly, холли and Jayce to their classrooms. After падуб, holly, холли finished her first class, she tripped and fell. "Are Ты okay?" a voice asked. падуб, holly, холли said, "I think so." Someone helped her up. She said, "Thanks." The girl who helped her up said, "You're welcome." The girl then noticed Holly's necklace. падуб, holly, холли owned other necklaces besides her asexual pride necklace. The one she was wearing on her first день of high school had her birthstone for the gem, peridot. The girl said, "That's a pretty necklace." падуб, holly, холли said, "Thanks. It's my birthstone." The girl said, "Really?! We have the same birthstone!" падуб, holly, холли said, "That's cool." Just then a voice said, "Come on, Daisy! What's the hold up for?" The girl said, "I better go, but it was nice meeting you, um, I didn't get your name." падуб, holly, холли said, "My name's Holly." маргаритка said, "Well, Holly, I guess I'll see Ты later." падуб, holly, холли said, "All right, Daisy." Later, when it was time for lunch, падуб, holly, холли and Jayce followed Jon to the lunch room. He sat with them, since he had lunch at that time, too. Jayce noticed падуб, holly, холли looking cheerful. Jayce said, "It looks like you're having a really good day, Holly." падуб, holly, холли said, "I am. I got a compliment on my necklace." Jon asked, "Who gave Ты the compliment?" падуб, holly, холли said, "I think her name was Daisy." He made a face palm and said, "Oh, no! Not Daisy! She can't be trusted, no matter how friendly she seems!" падуб, holly, холли said, "She seemed all right to me." Jon said, "She bullied me from kindergarten through the eighth grade. It was only last год she started Актёрское искусство so friendly." Jayce said, "Come on, Jon. Give her a chance. Maybe she's changed." He said, "People don't change." падуб, holly, холли said, "People change, Jon. Trust me." He said, "All right, I'll hold Ты to that." When he saw Daisy, he invited her to sit with them, even though he was apprehensive about her. She didn't Показать any signs of being a bully. Nevertheless, маргаритка was a crafty liar. Only the most prophetic could see through her lies. She was a sociopath, outwardly charming, lacking empathy, and very manipulative. падуб, holly, холли and Jayce were blissfully unaware that their "friend" was manipulating them in order to start a rumor.

It was December 9, 2010, Erin's fourteenth birthday. She was sitting on the back porch with her collie, Rusty. I woke up to a thumping sound. I asked, "What was that?" Paul said, "I'd say it was a car door being shut. I think my parents are back." I said, "I see." I heard the front door open. I then heard a woman's voice say, "Paul, we're back. Where are you?" Paul replied, "In here, Mother." She came into the living room. When she saw me, she asked, "Who is this?" He said, "This is my friend, Erin." She said, "So, you're Erin. Paul talks about Ты all the time." I said, "Good things, I hope." Paul said, "All good!" His mother smiled. The Далее день at 3:30, I met Grandpa at Eagle River. He said, "You wanted to see me." I said, "Yes, Grandpa, I did." He asked, "Have Ты come to terms with your sins, Erin?" I said, "That's what I wanted to talk to Ты about." He looked at me curiously. I continued, "You see, I don't appreciate your hypocrisy. Ты claim to be a Christian. One day, I woke up thinking it was a Saturday. I went back to sleep, but my aunt woke me up. She said, "Erin, it's time to get up." I asked, "Why do I need to get up so early on a Saturday?" After losing my best friend, Barry, I slipped into a depression. My grandparents refused to see me. My less consistent Друзья turned their backs on me. The only ones there for me were my aunt and uncle, my brother, Daniel, and my cousin, Barbara Ann. I had very little, if any, self-confidence. I didn't even try to confront Grandpa again, fearing he would beat me again. The only thing that brought me any happiness was music. I still enjoyed the Beatles above all others, but I liked to explore different bands as well. I overheard someone talking about a metal band called System of a Down, so...

A few months passed, and I was still suspicious of Grandpa. He continued to give out hints that he probably murdered my father when I was really young. Grandma never spoke to me, unless I spoke to her. When I asked her about my father, she dodged the Вопрос and changed the subject. Either she was involved, или she was trying to protect Grandpa. Despite the fact that I no longer had Christian faith, I still went to church to amuse my grandparents. I said, "I don't believe in their ways anymore." My aunt said, "I know, Erin. Because of my opinionated Ответы to Grandma's Вопросы in Sunday School, I got kicked out of Sunday School. When Grandpa found out, I knew I was in trouble. "God is a concept by which we measure our pain." I didn't always know или agree with this lyric from John Lennon's song, "God". However, I came to that point by the time I was twenty years old. I am one of the dissenters in the Bible Belt, but I wasn't always a, I guess Ты could say, rebel. When I was much younger, things were different, but seeing hypocrisy and hatred from Christians and unfortunate circumstances in my life changed everything. This is my story. I was born in 1996. Growing up in the Bible Belt, I was raised a Christian, particularly, a Baptist. I grew up without a father, but...

I was beginning to lose hope in the idea of finding a friend. One day, something amazing happened. I saw that I was getting new neighbors. I saw a kid there who appeared to be around my age. I was always told that the секунда день of school is never as bad as the first. It's true. My секунда день of school wasn't as bad as the first. It was worse. When I was walking to the bus, some of the other kids threw rocks at me. It really hurt. I came Главная crying. I had some cuts and bruises, but I was okay physically. Emotionally, I was the opposite. My aunt said, "Winter, try to see the good side. You're not hurt too badly. I'm sure you'll...

Moving to Tennessee was bittersweet for me. I was closer to family members, but it was also a big adjustment. I lived in Illinois for the first twelve years of my life. When I started school, I tried to make some friends. A group of kids invited me to sit with them during lunch. "Hooray! New friends!" I thought to myself. I introduced myself. I talked about being from Illinois. To my surprise, they did not make fun of my accent. One of them explained, "You have that there Midwestern accent. It's the accent that doesn't offend nobody. That's why most of them newscasters are Midwestern." I said,...
