She woke slowly, she realized she was somewhere inside, she couldn’t feel the cold winter crisp on her cheeks. It was warmer here. At least she was warm until ice cold water landed in her face. She shook her head and spat out water, then realized she was tied to a chair. When her vision cleared, she saw Skipper standing there, pointing a water gun at her, a bucket full of ice water a few feet away. He spoke with fierce anger to his voice. “Where are my men?”
“Like I’d tell you.” She replied with a straight face, she had a thick British accent. Skipper sprayed her again. “Look. I don’t know nor care who Ты are. All I want to know is where my team is.” Skipper told her. She looked Skipper in the eyes. “I’ll give Ты a hint…They aren’t here.” That made Skipper really angry. He dropped the water gun, picked up the bucket of ice water and dumped the entire thing on her. She cried out in the cold and began shivering, pulling herself in as tight a ball as she could to try to get herself warm. “I don’t take kindly to sarcasm. Answer me NOW.” Skipper commanded.
“Make me why don’t you!” She cried. Skipper didn’t want to resort to hitting the girl…but he didn’t really have much alternative. He raised his flipper and backhanded her. “Look! I don’t like doing this as much as you! But I gotta do what I gotta do to protect my men!”
“Well good for you! I’m not going to tell Ты anything! Figure it out yourself!” She spat at the floor in front of Skipper. Skipper grimaced. “Oh really?” He took a step closer and grabbed the back of her neck, looking her straight in the eyes. “You listen to me. Ты tell me where my team is. I don’t want to hurt you…but I will.”
“Am I supposed to feel threatened?”
“Not a threat. A promise.” She looked straight back into Skipper’s hate filled eyes. “In that case, how about I make Ты a deal? My job was to bring Ты back dead или alive. I’ll lead Ты to where they are, Ты find your team, and my job is completed. Deal?”
Skipper considered. He wasn’t sure whether to trust this demented dame или not. He decided he didn’t have anything to lose. He was going to find his team no matter what. “Fine. Deal. But if Ты try anything, you’re gonna wish I had killed you. Understood?” She nodded her head. “Are Ты going to untie me now?”
“Nope. Your legs don’t appear to be broken. Ты can walk just fine with your flippers tied behind your back.” Skipper walked behind the chair and untied the ropes from the chair, but was sure to keep her flippers bound tightly together.
She stood up, and took a couple steps forward. Skipper walked around to her side, when she turned on her heal and kicked her foot up to Skipper’s face. Unfortunately for her…Skipper was expecting a Переместить like that. He caught her foot in mid-air. “We should get moving. I’ve got my eye on you. Remember that.” He threw her foot back to the ground, causing her to stumble. She glared at him, but Skipper didn’t care. He gestured toward the hatch with his flipper. “Ladies first…” He said, a smart-aleck to his voice. She walked past him, not taking her eyes out of Skipper’s still hate-filled eyes. “I’ll help Ты up the ladder.”
It took a little longer to help her up the ladder than expected, but they eventually made it topside and she led the way. Waddling through the park, Skipper realized something. “You know…you never told me what your name was.” She hesitated before answering. “Eve.” She сказал(-а) the name without any emotion. Even Skipper couldn’t begin to guess what she was feeling или thinking.
Now Skipper and Eve were making their way down East 65th street. “So exactly where are we going?” Skipper asked. He didn’t even know how long they had to walk. “It’s about a three или four days walk…depending on how much we stop and how much longer Ты plan on dragging your feet like that.” Skipper rolled his eyes…then what she сказал(-а) sunk in. “Wait…three или four days? Where are we going!?” Eve stopped and turned to look at him, right in his face. “If I told Ты then there’d be no reason for Ты to take me along then would it?” Skipper grunted, obviously annoyed. “Can Ты at least give me a hint to where we’re going? …And don’t say ‘Somewhere in New York.’”
“You’ll find out when we get there.” Eve сказал(-а) turning around continuing to walk. Looking up at the clouds, the dark, dark, clouds, Ты could just tell it was going to start snowing soon. If Skipper had known their journey was going to take that long he would’ve come prepared.
After about four hours of walking…Skipper’s suspicions were confirmed. Light snow had begun to drift over Manhattan. It was dark now…so they had no choice but to find a place to rest for the night. Skipper took her down the alley, a grip on her flipper…a strong firm grip. Eve couldn’t help but notice Skipper muscles…his strong, tense muscles. She shook her head. What was she thinking? She pushed the thought away and Skipper tied the other end of the rope to the leg of a dumpster. She lied down as best as she could, finding it hard to get comfortable because of her bound flippers, the falling snow, and the cold, icy concrete. Skipper found some newspapers and figured it’d be better to use them than nothing at all. He covered himself and Eve and they turned in for the night.
Skipper looked at Eve, who was struggling to get comfortable. Every fiber of his being told him that she deserved it…but Skipper’s conscience took him over. He waddled over and sat down, leaning against the dumpster. “Come here…” Skipper said, no emotion to his voice. “Excuse me?” Eve сказал(-а) standing up. Skipper sighed. “If we’re gonna get through the Далее few days we both need a good nights’ rest. Come. Here.” Skipper commanded. Eve hesitated, then figured, what’s the harm? She sat down Далее to him and laid her head on Skipper’s chest. Skipper covered the both of them up. “Better?” Eve nodded slightly, listening to Skipper’s heartbeat, which acted as a lullaby, sending her into a slumber. She hadn’t slept so well in ages.
Skipper, much to his surprise, fell asleep pretty fast himself. He looked up at the облако filled sky, and сказал(-а) a silent good night to his men.

Dumb Kowalski's conversation with Skipper
Kowalski: Hi, I'm a penguin.
Skipper: Okay.
Kowalski: Are Ты a penguin?
Skipper: Yes.
Kowalski: Yay! We're sisters!
Skipper: We'd better go outside. It's almost feeding time.
Kowalski: I like feeding things!
Skipper: We are the ones that get fed.
Kowalski: I hate feeding time. Why can't we feed ourselves?
Skipper: Ты can.
Kowalski: Yay! I Любовь lemurs!
Skipper: Fine. *goes up the ladder*
Kowalski: No, Skipper, don't leave me here alone, with all the monsters! *clings onto Skipper's foot like a toddler*
Skipper: Then Ты can come out with us.
Kowalski: Hooray for fish!
Skipper: *sigh*
