PROLOGUE: THE FIRST DECITE
I opened my eyes slowly and looked into the darkness just outside. Another день was coming... another damn day. God, it'd be easier if someone would just kill me now. But that would be too easy, wouldn't it? And nothing ever is. I let out a sigh. Well getting up would start the день sooner, but I probably won't sleep again, not tonight. Marlene, the beast and the harlot in my life*. She's always lying to me and I can't bring myself to break up with her.
I waddled out of the пингвин habitat, vaulting over as usual. The other's are still asleep, but let them sleep. They need a little еще rest. No one can say I don't care about their health. As I pass the лемур habitat and see them slumped around after dancing their hearts out. Though it annoys me on a cellular level, it does warm my сердце when I see them, sleeping together, content. A perfect family.
My сердце ices over as I near the выдра, оттер habitat. No matter how much I Любовь her, she isn't being fair to me. Kitka understands, but then again, she understands me completely. Maybe it isn't as wrong as I think. Marlene is pulling off on me, so what am I suppose to do until she grows up?
I waddle inside, and of course, no one is home. She pulled another all-nighter. No not sexual, not yet at least. But it's getting there. But I found myself wrong. She is lying on some feed bags, fast asleep. I wish I could find her snoring cute like I use to. I found the letter by her head.
Marlene! Can't wait to see Ты again! Meet me by the zoo entrance after the penguins go to bed.
