The gun has many uses. Not only can it be used to kill animals for food, but you could use it to shoot down fruit from a tree. You can use it to get passing ships to notice you - especially if you shoot the captain. Archery - it's a fun hobby. Usually you use a bow and arrow, but if you were stuck on a desert island without those things you could make an exception. In old movies you see cowboys spinning guns around there index finger. You could practice that so if you ever did get off the island you could maybe headline in Vegas if you were good enough. And if worse turns to worse on the desert island, well... you know. You could shoot yourself as terrible as it might sound. Well, I've ranted on about the many uses of the gun for long enough so, I'll just shut it.

Provided I have a signal, the cell phone would be the most useful for getting off that damn island. A gun has plenty of uses but bullets are in limited supply.

If a signal opens up the phone would become useful.

chances are i wouldnt know where i am, and if the island is deserted, its probably no where near a signal. i would like a person, but that person would probably hate me, so i wouldn't take a chance. a video camera would be my favourite. i would film my final feelings, get some nice nature footage, and leave my legacy. whoever finds it would probably be touched, being the last person to "see" me alive.
