I feel the warmth of your skin
Hands intertwined
Fingers raking through my hair
Tender kisses
Eyes closed

New-found passion
Stirring
Our connection unmatched
Love or lust?
Eyes closed

How does one find this?
In the middle of chaos
Cries of agony in the distance
But here we are
Eyes closed

Just us
In our own world
Overlooking this rotten one
Right now
As of this moment
I feel alive
I feel
Eyes closed

A warm embrace
Your arms held tightly
Around my shaking body
Eyes twitch

I'm glad I have you
I've lost everything
And you are all I have left
I live for you
A gentle kiss on my forehead
Eyes closed

Slowly caressing my shoulder
Eyes closed
You whisper
Eyes closed
“I’m here”
Eyes twitch
I wish I could say the same
Eyes open.
