After vampires were way passed discovered, a destruction wanting organization of whacko scientists called N.E.D.O.C (Never Ending Days of Chaos) tried taking over the world. Their goal was to make the ultimate beam of solar energy and use it as the ultimate weapon against anyone of tried to stand in their way. It took them weeks of no sleep, no food, no water, and sweat to complete this beam of solar energy and super size it. They finished on the night of a full moon. They're first test subject was the Moon. Why? No one really knows. They fired it with no hesitation whats so ever. But something went wrong.The giant beam of light didnt blast the moon to pieces or anything, instead, it decoded itself as it hit the moon and left a red spot in the center of it. They thought that there beam was a complete failure, and decided to use it on a human being instead to find out the problem. Instead of destroying the human, it created something else. A blood thirsty creature. A monster. The creature was then referred to as a Kage (Shadow) because of its liquid shadow based appearance. They contained the creature and celebrated their new project. But a month later, the Full Moon rose and the red spot in the middle of the moon spread and covered it entirely.This was the beginning of the Red Moon. On that very day The Kage broke out of the lab, leaving nothing but corpses of the scientists behind. In three days, the saliva of the Kage infected over 85% of humanity and some of the vampires, and created other Kage's of different shapes and sizes. It was soon recognized by the bit of scientists that werent infected that the Kages could shape shift into humans and rarely speak. They also found out a way to kill them, since bullets had little to no effect. Iron and Metal. They set their final messages out to the surviving humanity, saying that the sun would never rise again. Only Moon, and Red Moon.
Vampires depend on humans and Humans depend on Vampires.

*The vampires have a lot of strength under the red moon. The red moon has also influenced a small upgrade in human agility and senses. Slightly.*

As you can see, the Kage defenitely have the advantage over humans in power, but they're basically stupid. Oh and one more thing, when your infected by the Kage, their is an Antidote, but it only works on the ones who are in the 1st or 2nd stage of transforming. So there, Humans have there own advantage.Vampires can physically touch the Kage, therefore they can toss them to the side and stuff but their attacks still have 0 effect.
