Giving your life to save someone is a non-selfish или a selfish act?!?

Most people don't agree with me and when I try to explain why i think that giving your life to save someone is a selfish act, people don't understand my point.
The thing is: if Ты give your life to save someone Ты Любовь it's because Ты don't want to live without that person, which means Ты don't want to feel the pain of losing that person. But, by giving your life to save that person, that person will suffer with your death and she will be the one feeling the pain of losing you?
Did anyone understand my point?!?

i totally agree with you. i couldn't allow my kids' lives to be cut short.they still have so life ahead of them.i know they will say different about this but one день they will understand.
