SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA (Protect IP Act) are bills introduced by the United States. They were trying to re-enforce the law to fight online trafficking in copyrighted intellectual property and counterfeit goods. Basically, they were trying to stop our freedom of the internet. Meaning websites like Facebook and Youtube would be shut down, and Ты could be sent to jail for copyrighting. Luckily it's postponed because of protesting.
