Lucy form the Chronicles of Narnia is my favorite heroine/minor character. She is just so innocent and caring. She's also brave and intelligent.

I know how crap this is, but I'm going off a TV show. Kahlan from The Sword of Truth series, by Terry Goodkind. Also Josephine Alabrandi, from Looking for Alabrandi, and Ella from Ella Enchanted. I'm very picky with my heroins.

My favorite heroine is definitely Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice.

Christine Daaé from Phantom of the Opera. She's often pegged for naïve, but we only see her naïveté once in the book when she meets Erik. She's actually a lot smarter than Raoul and what I love about her is that when Raoul wants to solve his problems with violence, she's not afraid to tell him: "No, that would be the stupid thing to do." She uses logic and her knowledge of Erik to save the day. People seem to forget this, but in the book she's actually a very complex character, as she hardly ever shows her true emotions and she is the one who saves the day. Apart from Erik, she's the most well-rounded character in the book. For a woman of her time, she has a mental strength that she uses to save her lover even though he went out to save her in the beginning.
