In November of 2004, Amanda was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. Because of this illness, she was дана the chance to have a wish granted from international children’s charity Kids Wish Network; she asked to meet her Избранное singer, Rihanna.

In 2006, Amanda and her family were flown to New York to watch Rihanna’s rehearsal for the Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve at the Nokia Theater and hang out with the superstar. Backstage, Amanda was a little nervous but she warmed up quickly to Rihanna, who spent lots of time with her young fan, chatting and smiling for the cameras.

Рианна signed lots of autographs for Amanda and, in turn, Amanda presented Рианна with a card and a friendship charm.

Amanda’s special wish trip to New York is one she will never, ever forget.

According to her dad, “Amanda really enjoyed herself. She’ll definitely remember that for a long time! We really appreciate everything. It was a very nice experience!”
