we only got a little bit of army/gambling/catholic background in season 1 and 2 and then most of season 2 and 3 were all about brennan.
i can't wait to learn more about "booth's darker days" and his family life too. x]

It's pretty easy to tell that there are things in Booth's past that make him so protective of those he loves, and doesn't want them to get hurt. I think Booth has been hurt in the past, and he doesn't want to put anyone else through that. I think it's got something to do with the fact why he doesn't want to get romantically involved with Brennan. I may be wrong, but it would be really good to know more about his background.
