Snape and Hermione?

For my person, no, I can't see Severus and Hermione together, nor can I see Severus and Lily together.

Even though Hermione is brilliant, when re-watching HBP she was downright jealous at Harry that he had out done her with Severus aid.
Severus had even spoken down to her, insufferable know-it-all. I know for others that would be like him saying something as a term of endearment :)

In the Книги nor in the Фильмы was it ever hinted that Hermione ever had feelings for Severus, that is purely Фан Fiction, which, course each their own.

For my person I prefer a other person taking Hermione's или Lily's place.

Beside self-insert, I think there's another reason - in my humble opinion. JKR has paired her with Ron at the end. That sucks, still in my opinion. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Honestly, Hermione needs to be with someone with brains. That she was a brilliant student (in Potions, among other things) and all the people disappointed that she ended up with Ron, had paired (or wished so) with someone еще of her caliber. Severus was a good candidate. He is a brilliant man. They do match intellectually, let's face it. Hence all that stuff.

Personally, I rather support Dramione. Draco is a far better student than Ron and Harry. He would have been a good match for Hermione. Plus that pairing allows to throw in all the issues of Любовь vs. prejudices (Slytherin/Gryffindor ; pure-blood vs Muggle-born). A vast field in which to play.

I used to Любовь SS/HG pairing. I'm less fond now. Yet, when the fanfic is well written, it's enjoyable. If the topic is about a friendship developing between the two, it is plausible too. Yet, I prefer to pair Severus with an Original Character of mine. (I'm presently working on a very long story published on FF.net, entitled "Too Much Любовь Will Kill You", featuring a pairing between Severus and an OC.

However, Hermione is the only one in the trio to be able to put aside her own prejudices and feelings to really see someone as they truly are. In the HBP book, she takes the stand for Severus over the Half-Blood Prince book eventually, having enquired about him and his mother. She hated the book at the beginning (jealousy over Harry's better marks, then fear over the danger it represented), then she reckons the book was valuable and a testimony of Severus' genius. That's the proof she's able to go past all this. She was the only one to defend Severus when they discuss about his DADA speech, stating that Harry and Severus had сказал(-а) the same thing on the topic, though differently. No hint is дана as a bond between Severus and Hermione, yet, she vindicts him еще than often because she's intellectually honest. That was еще than enough to imagine their pairing then.

I'm torn on the whole Severus/Hermione issue. On the one hand, I can completely see why people Любовь this paring and why it's so popular. It's the whole "he's a teacher, I'm a student. He's hot and brilliant and he's got he "bad-boy" thing going for him."

However, a lot или fanfic writers don't really stick to canon and I've read far еще bad fics than good ones.

On the other, the paring doesn't make sense at all. He was just as mean to her as he was Ron, Harry and Neville. But, if done correctly, I've read some good fics.

I have come to realize that the SS/HG subject is as much a personal acceptance или refusal as well as a cultural. We are many different people from many different countries with one common factor. We all Любовь and Adore Prof Severus Snape. We have all had our own experiences concerning the age thing или the student teacher thing both negative and positive. With this common factor we can learn еще about each other and learn. Beside this very same dispute is going on all over the web. Some are getting really heated.

Self insert. Fangirls can easily relate to Hermione - and want to have sex with Snape. Combine these two and Ты get all those terrible SS/HG-Badfics.

It's simple really, it's typical schoolgirl having a crush on her scary and hateful teacher fantasy. Quite hot actually (at least for me and I guess for lots of people out there, judging by the amount of fanfiction that pairing has). Ты might not like it, but I guess respect others view would be appreciated.

I don't think Severus and Hermione would ever work together, I just like the situation. :) Teacher and student, especially if the teacher is Severus. I think it's like a self-insert thing for some girls, who can read fanfics based off of Severus and "Hermione," and imagine themselves in Hermione's place.

Im really happy when i saw all those video on Youtube saying SS and HG are together, then i figured out its not real, and i really got sad.(fine. im a total ass.)

im making an HG/SS fanfic now, but its not about those s*x and quite disgusting stuffs.. its just that i find hermione very smart and open-minded, and matured, muggle-born, a Gryffindor,(sounds like lily..)..

Well, for me its very sweet (w/out the s*x)..
I actually have read a fanfic of them, and its full of s*x and mastu*bating, and it disgusted me very much.. i wanna do things in the sweet way, that's all.. Любовь is not about s*x for me, after all. :D

Guess there is a real shortage at Hogwarts of women who are worthy enough of being paired with Severus.None of them are the perfect match for him.

Why do people not like the Severus Snape + Lily Evans pairing? They knew each other since they were nine years old and were best Друзья back then.

Personally, I find the SS/HG pairing disturbing, and the DM/HG pairing ridiculous. Oh please! Draco Malfoy? To me, it's an insult to Hermione to even suggest it. She deserved better than Draco, and she got it. She got someone who adores and cherishes her. But hey, that's just my opinion.

As for Severus' relationship with Lily: it's not really the 'mudblood' Комментарий that sank it, Lily was a smart girl and would have come to understand it was spoken in the heat of the moment. She might have been able to forgive him. What sank the relationship ultimately was his deep involvement in the Dark Arts, and his choice of Друзья (all eventual Death Eaters, remember) that she could not tolerate. She tried to point it out to him several times that it was just evil, but he was too blinded by it to listen to her. It's not that *she* should have been еще accepting (of the Dark Arts? Of his idiot elitist, blood-purist friends? Those aren't just little 'personality quirks'), it's that *he* should have listened to *her*. His fault, totally. I see that a lot of Фаны seem to forget those details.

(And Bellatrix Lestrange disgusts me to no end, I'd write a fanfic just so I could kill her myself, with every horrible curse I could think of, and then do awful things to her corpse. The thought of her touching Severus makes me want to wretch up everything I've eaten for the last week. He deserves SOOOOOOOOO much better than her.)

Okay, there are very many different reasons that I like this pairing.

I will admit that the Teacher/Student Фэнтези (college age или legal adult Hermione age) is an attractive one, but that's not the main reason.

Yes, out of Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood, Minerva McGonagal, Ginny Weasley, Lily Evans, and Bellatrix LeStrange, (and that's the order I rank them as well), I have a closer affinity for Hermione than any of them.

And I abhorred the pairing of Ron and her. Most of that though is because it seemed the teenage dream of the perfect afterlife with the quiet swot instead of the cheerleader getting the football captain as her husband. The character of Ron was not developed enough to explain that pairing and it made no sense to me at all. Pairing Hermione with Ron made no sense for me.

My whole Поиск and finding of fanfiction was because of finishing Чтение Deathly Hallows, and being outraged at how Severus Snape was dealt with. Here was this character that I think JKR only meant to be a bit part, but then she started using him here and there, he was the Head of Slytherin, he was Harry's hated teacher, he was a Deatheater, he was the childhood friend of Harry's mother, the childhood nemesis of Harry's father, he was the double agent that worked for Dumbledore, he was a member of the Order of the Phoenix....well, she used Severus to fill and merge so many plot lines, he became this multi-faceted character and then was thrown out in the trash when he was no longer needed to further the plot line. I was outraged, searching and I found fanfic.

I read a lot of fanfics, but my Избранное were the ones where Severus Snape was his snarky, sarcastic, witty, dominant best, but was loving only with his one friend/companion/love. And most of those that are really well written were with Hermione или Original Characters.

And since, of the characters I most affiliate with are either Hermione Granger или an Original Character, then those are the fanfics that I read the most. I Любовь when they are post-Deathly Hallows, mainly because that is the point that Severus was killed, and Чтение fanfic that is post-Deathly Hallows rewrites the ending so Severus lives. Whether with an adult Hermione или Original Character, I don't care. LOL

The main reason I like these two together is because the best fics I've read have been of this pairing. For some reason these two characters have an enormous amount of chemistry when written together. There's so much to work with this pairing that the fics piratically write themselves. Ты have the obvious (ex)student/(ex)teacher dynamic, the good girl/bad boy thing, the very smart girl/man who finally meet their match, the brooding misunderstood mature man of the world with the young fresh innocent girl angle, the hate/dislike that turns into Любовь and admiration, the Список is endless. Plus they are also the 2 most liked and Популярное characters in the whole series. My theory is that lot of the girls/women who Любовь Snape also identify themselves with Hermione the most, so they instinctively end up pairing these two together.
