We were not impressed with the new version of Shrek. Without Mike Myers writing the movie, it lacks so much, but most of all it has a Tim Burtonesque tone and style which is not like Mike Myers at all. It actually gives me the creeps. Even the animation color is dull and lifeless. The other movies were bright and vibrant. The dialogue is not upbeat. The jokes are flat. And the cast does not seem to have their heart in it. The only thing that does save this movie is that Mike Myers is in the cast and the music is still good.
