can someone tell me what happens in the manga?

i watched the shugo chara Аниме and loved it, but it didnt really have an ending. my cousin сказал(-а) that in the end of the manga, ran, miki, and su disappear. is this true, and if so, why? i read the last couple pages aonline and saw yoru disappear too. what is going on? thanks!
