Nothing can be combared with Super Mario Bros.. It is actually a big part of my life (childhood) Its AWESOME :D still have it :P
but 64 and the orginal is the best
But I think Mario 3 gave Nintendo's competitors in the industry new things to live up to when it comes to designing platform games, and Galaxy kind of did the same for designers of 3D games. I don't really consider Mario 64 to be particularly revolutionary in the games industry as such, as a lot of companies were already producing 3D games by the time that came along, but it was a step forward in the Mario franchise for being the first proper 3D Super Mario game.
I'm not really sure if the options others have added are very revolutionary tbh but the original Mario Kart was pretty creative for its time, and might have inspired a few other games companies to think outside the box when it comes to racing games.
