Oh come on, guys. Bella's a sweetie deep down. She's just been so emotionally traumitized. (I think she made the deal because her dad beat her or something like that. So, she asked the demon to kill her parents--thus, the spilled family blood that caused the ghost ship to come after her-- and in the process, she got greedy since her life would be so short. She just wanted to make it last.)

I think if she could, she'd save Dean in a second. I don't really think Ruby would, personally.
