jo's was hard too, but dean's.. omg. just wanted to hug him so bad *tear*
and sammy's face... such amazing acting from jared's side in that scene!

The after math of Jo's attack was what made it hard. But Dean's was completely painful.. every single second of it!

Dean's for sure.I couldn't watch it,so painful,I was like screaming and crying...though Jo's was very bad too

I'm going to go with Jo because of the aftermath- I bawled. I mean, I cried when Dean died too but I knew they'd find a way to bring him back. Jo, on the other hand- she's not coming back.:( And she died so slowly that it was just heartbreaking.

I cried when Jo died, but Dean's death was T___T I was dying with him!!

i cried,very emotional death!

I got teary with both but Jo's was more sadder after it happened while Dean's was sad all over.

dean's happened very quickly and then the episode was over and i was thinking more about him being in hell and how horrible it looked than thinking about the hellhound attack itself.

jo's was really hard to watch because we had so much more time for it to soak in that she was dying, and as others have said above, not coming back. and as far as the actual hellhound attack, it looked very vicious and it felt like we saw more of the graphics of it, it made me a bit woozy to see her insides spilling out and her throat getting cut and awww oh man it was hard to see. :'(

Jo dies???

deans omg! i was in floods of tears and i couldn't stop all night :'( i was dying with him but i cried when jo died too but dean's was reaaaally difficult to watch :)

both were difficult to watch, but for different reasons IMO....dean's death was like watching someone i love die horrible before my very eyes, but with jo's death it really hit home in a way....my mom and i watch spn together and when ellen stayed behind with jo it just seemed like something my mom and i would do for each other...we are all each other have so i could relate to the situation.

with dean's i'm pretty sure i cried through the whole episode....and i cried for a week after that, not even joking. i remember getting angry with myself because i was still crying over the death of a fake character....i still avoid his death like the plague...i'll put a little bit of the scene in my YT videos but i have never watched the full scene since it was aired.

yeh but we always knew dean was coming back and jo probly won't come back ... :( poor ellen and jo :'( and btw very sorry for my little outburst a while back , just a little mad that there dead . I'll move on just a tv show after all , anyway really sorry every body :)

Uh,okay,this took me like 20 minutes to choose...
But I have to go with Dean. I mean,I cried when Jo died, but when Dean died I was sobbing and in the week after I watched the episode, every time I thought about Dean's death I would get all sniffly. I refuse to watch that episode again. :P

I adore Dean and I felt awful watching him get chased down, but I knew it was coming, so I had time to prepare and all that. And, like most everyone else has mentioned, I knew he'd be coming back. But Jo's death was so sudden and unexpected and then she died so slowly...it really just messed me up bad.

Just speaking of the attacks I thought Deans was the worst coz Jo got scratched once and yes that shocked the hell out of me i didnt expect that but those stupid hell hounds just kept ripping Dean to shreds :( But now the deaths, I do think Jos was the saddest because she's not coming back and we all knew Dean would somehow get out of hell :(

OMG poor Jo. Dean's was also terrible but he came back.
