I do love the Beatles (number one in my heart, always!!) but I pretty much like any genres of music from the past and present :)

And what's wrong with there being another band? Is that some kind of crime or something? I love The Beatles and I think they're amazing and one of the best bands ever, but I hate how elitist a lot of the fans are acting. My favourite band is Birdtalker, mainly because I've been listening them for longer, and I love all their songs (there are a couple of Beatles songs that I don't like). I don't like modern mainstream music. Birdtalker are a relatively new band but they're not mainstream and they're amazing. Having another band as number 1 shouldn't mean you're not a true Beatles fan or anything like that. Especially since my favourite band isn't one direction or anything similar to them.

Well, I'll admit the Beatles were not the first (the monkees were) my mom introduced me to both when I was little and I grew up listening to oldies most of my life. I didn't start listening to both oldies and modern music until I was thirteen but my love for the Beatles never died. I think it's okay to love any group you want and the Beatles. The Beatles themselves have said that. And a lot of groups are inspired by the Beatles, too. So, I say love the Beatles and love any group you want as well. I don't think the Beatles will mind (*lol!*)
