Fabian pulls up in a parking spot at the boarding school then steps out of his car and stares up at the school.
Fabian: Another wonderful год at Anubis House.
Fabian walks towards Anubis House and Jerome and мак are arguing behind him.
Poppy: But Jerome please.
Jerome: I already сказал(-а) no Poppy.
Poppy: But Jerome-
Jerome: Just drop it okay?
Poppy: What ever Jerome. I thought Ты loved me better than that after what happened last year. But I guess not!
мак runs off crying and Mara walks up to Jerome.
Mara: hey, what was that all about?
Jerome: Nothing.
Mara: Well is everything alright?
Jerome: Sure. Everything's just swell!
Jerome walks off leaving Mara with a worried face.
At the Anubis House front porch Fabian is about to open the front door when:
???: Hello.
Fabian turns around thinking it is Nina spreading his arms ready for a big hug.
Fabian: NIna....
Fabian sees KT standing in front of him.
Fabian: Your not Nina.
KT: No. I'm not. I'm the new girl, KT Rush.
KT extends hands for a shake while Fabian stands there in confusion.
KT: Well? Are Ты going to shake it?
Fabian: Oh right.
Fabian shakes hands with KT.
KT: What's your name?
Fabian: F- Fabian.
KT: Well hello Fabian.
Trudy exits Anubis House onto the porch.
Trudy: Well I thought I heard chatting going about out here. Ты must be KT. Nice to meet you, I'm Trudy. Your house mother.
KT: Nice to meet Ты Trudy.
Trudy: And I see that Ты already met one of my most Избранное teenagers of all time. Fabian. What a sweet boy.
Fabian: Trudy.
Trudy: Oh calm down Fabian. I'm not trying to embarrassed you. Now come on Ты two. I got welcome back печенье waiting for you.
KT enters Anubis House
Fabian: Is Nina here yet?
Trudy: Oh Fabian. I must tell you-
Patricia runs onto the porch.
Patricia: Alfie's chocking on 10 pieces of печенье again!
Trudy: Oh Alfie not again!
Trudy runs inside.
Patricia: Oh Эй, Fabian.
Fabian: Эй, Patricia. Is Nina here yet?
Patricia: Not that I know of. But Eddie's here. So Nina must be here somewhere. Have Ты checked the school, или maybe even the Frobisher Library?
Fabian: No, not yet. But I'll do that. Thanks.
Patricia: No problem.

At the school, Fabian walks through the halls searching for Nina
Fabian: Where could she be? Hmmm... think Fabian thi-
Fabian bumps into Mr. Sweet.
Fabian: Mr. Sweet!
Mr. Sweet: Already eager to start the new school year, eh Mr. Rutter? Your ready to start class 2 days early i see.
Fabian: Yes... I mean no... I mean.. aggggghh.. never mind. Have Ты seen Nina?
Mr. Sweet: I'm afraid Nina is not here.
Fabian: Oh okay. I'll go look for her somewhere else.
Fabian exits just before Mr. Sweet was about to say something.
Mr. Sweet: No Fabian! I mean she's- (sigh) never mind. He'll find out eventually.

In the living room of Anubis House, Alfie and Eddie are chugging down 2 liter sodas while Amber, Patricia, and Joy are chearing them on.
Amber: Come on Alfie Ты can do it!
Patricia: Come on Eddie! Prove your a true American!
Jerome enters the Foyer.
Joy: Oh Эй, Jerome. Do Ты want to see Eddie and Alfie chug soda until they throw up?
Jerome: Nah. I'm good.
Jerome continues walking to his room and the slams the door. Mara then enters the Foyer.
Mara: Have Ты seen Jerome?
Patricia: He was boo-hooing all the way to his room.
Joy: Yeah what's wrong with him?
Mara: I have no idea. But I'm really worried about hi-
Eddie: Done!
Alfie: Awman!
Patricia: Yeah Eddie! Ты won!
Patricia jumps up from the диван, мягкий уголок and hugs Eddie.
Eddie: Oh. Not too tight!

At the Frobisher Library, Fabian enters when he hears talking and hides behind the shelves.
???: I'm just saying it's not the best idea.
???2: He's the smartest man ever existed. And according to my research, his still alive Холодное сердце somewhere under the house.
???: And how much do Ты know about where he is located under the house?
???2: Not much. But mark my words, I'll find out soon enough... before the time comes.
???: Ты should just give up and except your fate.
???2: Oh, Ты know well enough that I'll never give up. Not even if it means destroying the entire universe!
???: But-
???2: No buts! Now go! Go and complete your assignment!
???: But-
???2: That's an order.
???: (sigh) Yes sir.
Fabian stands up a little еще to get a better look but then knocks over some Книги accidentally.
???2: Who's there?!
Fabian runs out of the библиотека trying to hide his face.
???2: Now go, before any other unwanted intruders come in and hear anymore about our plans.
???: Yes sir.

At Anubis House, Fabian runs in the Foyer out of breath.
Joy: Эй, Fabes. What's wrong? Looks like you've seen a ghost.
Fabian: Is Nina here?
Joy: Not that I know of. But who knows. She's good at sneaking around places.
Fabian: I'll check in her room.
Fabian runs up stairs.
Joy: Ты do that... Fabes.

In Jerome's room, Jerome is laying on his постель, кровати staring up at the ceiling when Alfie knocks at the door.
Alfie: Come on Jerome! Open up!
Jerome: NO! Go away!
Alfie: It's my room too Ты know!
Jerome: Just go!
Alfie: Fine then.
Jerome: (Sigh) (To himself) How can I make it up to her?

In Nina's room, Fabian enters looking around for Nina.
Fabian: Nina? Hmmm... not here.
Fabian enters the girls hallway and walks into Willow.
Fabian and Willow: Oh sorry.
Fabian: Who are you?
Willow: I'm Willow Jenks. I'm new.
Fabian: And your going to Anubis House?
Willow: Yep.
Fabian: That's strange. 2 new students on the same day. Much less same term. This is really strange.
Willow: Ummmm.... who are Ты talking to?
Fabian: huh? Oh... myself. Sorry.
Willow: It's okay.
KT walks up.
Fabian: So where is your room?
Willow: Right here.
KT: Really? Cool! Looks like we'll be room mates!
Fabian: But this it-
KT: Oh and Fabian, Trudy and the others are done stairs waiting for you. Something serious it looks like.
Fabian: Oh okay.
Fabian walks down stairs.

Down stairs in the living room, Joy, Amber, Patricia, Eddie, Alfie, and Mara are sitting on the диван, мягкий уголок and Victor and Trudy are standing in the middle of the room when Fabian enters.
Fabian: What's up guys?
Amber, who is crying, gets up and hands Fabian a folded up letter. Fabian unfolds the letter in confusion and reads it.
Nina (in Fabian's head): Dear Друзья of Anubis House, I'm so sorry I didn't tell Ты sooner, and I know Ты all will miss me very much, but I just can't help it. I'm staying here in the states with my Gran because she is very sick. Wish I could stay there with Ты guys. I'll miss Ты all... especially Ты Fabes. Love, Nina.
Amber: I can't believe she's gone either.
Patricia gets up from her сиденье, место, сиденья and puts something in Fabian's hands.
Patricia: She sent this for Ты too.
Fabian unfolds his hand to see Nina's locket in his hands.
Fabian: She gave me her locket?!
