Офис Season 2 finale vs. Season 3 finale

So which do you prefer? I personally liked season 2's better, it was a killer cliff hanger that made me want season 3's even more, but last nights episode was really great, and i feel like we have more surprises coming for the season 4 premiere, but which one did you like better?

Wow, tough call. I loved that Jim laid it all on the line with Pam and just flat out told her "I'm in love with you" and that amazing kiss that we've all been waiting for. Then there was all the other good stuff with Creed stealing chips from everyone, Tobey beating Michael at poker, Jan and Carol meeting and Michael and Dwight freaking out about it, Jim and Jan talking about the Stamford job,... it was all pretty good.

And last night's episode - holy mackerel, total genius! All the story lines that got woven in together and the resolutions that really weren't resolutions because you're still DYING to find out what happens next but there's just enough hope dangled in front of you that you're out of your chair watching it... THIS IS WHY I LOVE THIS SHOW because the writing just keeps getting better and more imaginative.

I liked the season 2 finale a little more. It was more emotional to me.

I really loved season 2 finale. I agree it was more emotional and that kiss was amazing. Although I thought season 3 finale was really great too. Jim asked Pam on a date! I was waiting the whole hour for something to happen and then he comes in at the very end to ask her out! It gave me hope that they would be together when season 4 starts.

Oh, too hard. I can't chose. Season two finale was so sweet and heartbreaking, while the season three finale was also sweet, but funny and awesome.

I think I was more excited about the season 2 finale, and i hate to say that because I loved this one too, but it is almost too good to be true, you know they aren't going to just be together and everything will be perfect something is going to happen to shake their relationship, because if their isn't, then there is no more show. And I don't want to see anything mess up their relationship, because they are so cute together. Maybe I am putting way to much thought into this...lol

the kiss or the date?

i have to say the kiss. it was so sweet and, no matter how many times you watched it, your heart always skipped a beat.

then again, pam's face was sooo priceless after he asked her out.

i also thought that, outside of jam, the 2nd season was better. i just thought it was funnier, even though this one was funny, too.

so, all in all, season 2.

OMG! In my opinion the season 3 finale totally crushed season 2. Even though they kissed in season 2, nothing happened. Now that Jim asked her on a date we can expect more to happen next season. Can't wait!!

Casino Night is my favourite episode ever. There are so many great lines and it's so well scripted. Then, of course, I couldn't breathe for the last 5 minutes of the show, from Jim's confession to the kiss. And I was freaking out and had to rewatch it many times and spent the whole summer thinking of crazier and crazier theories and I was SO PUMPED for the Season 3 premiere.
The Job seemed to be more of a plot episode. And now J+P are going on a date. And I'm content. I can wait for next season. And the episode wasn't all too funny... it had it's moments but still...
I vote season 2, because it made me anticipate the following season more than this one did.

The JAM aspect I thought was better in season 3, it was sweeter. Casino Night was alot funnier though.

I say season 2 was better. It was so much more of a cliffhanger and really kept you wondering what was going to happen between Jim and Pam. All this one is really offering is the conflict between Jim, Pam, and Karen.

Casino Night is one of my favourite episodes for humour. There were awesome moments for most of the characters (Creed, Toby, Ryan) and it was by far a more laugh-out-loud episode for me. The Jim and Pam plotline was brilliant, because it was a beautiful and necessary culmination of the tension from the first two seasons. But I'd have to say that I prefer the Job, because it was far more character-driven. Watching Pam come out of her shell all season, then win back Jim without losing herself in the process was incredibly satisfying. The last minute and a half was just ... amazing. I'm sorry - what was the question?

I thought season 2 was a lot better, because although I love Jam, I don't like it when the Office becomes to much of a melodrama. Season 2's was a lot funnier all the way through AND had the hot kiss at the end.

It seems like the writers really love to end the season with a big Jim an Pam moment.

Season 2's finale was so heartbreaking and Season 3's was so sweet.

There are just moments in the Office that u will never ever get sick of - like Jim telling Pam he loved her, the kiss and 'the return' when Jim tells Karen he still has feelings for Pam. EVERY and I mean EVERY single time I see that scene I go 'Look at that face! OMG what an actor!' it hits me every single time its amazing.

But anyway back to the question at hand i think Casino Night was less expected (just keep in mind I'm a new fan so I wasn't around to wait for the season 2 finale) and I guess with 3 we were expecting something to happen but def not Jim asking Pam out.

They're both great - 3 had more in it I guess but 2 was just simple and sweet.

Hard to say, I liked them both. The Jim and Pam characters have grown so much this season. It's like they've finally found themselves, finally discovered what they really want and they're finally going to try to get what they want, each other. Casino Night was funnier but The Job was more satisfying.

Season 2 and 3 were all well and good, but I honestly prefer season 1's finale.

Season 2 cus it left you guessing...like if season 3 ended with just jim asking pam out and not getting an answer or if it let off with jim dumping karen it would leave me with more questions. when the answer is yes from pam that closes a bunch of possibilities.
