I have watched that episode over and over and I always wondered that myself. There are a few things her mom could have said, like "Are you interested in him?" or "Are you still going to marry Roy?" However, I'd like to think that her mom said "Are you in love with him?", but it may be wishful thinking. I guess we may never know.

What great insite, I just always thought that her mom asked if she loved him another thought never crossed my mind. I guess I will have to watch it again to see how she says it and maybe that will provide more insite.

Yeah, I always thought that about that, too. After the Season 3 premiere, I resigned myself to the fact that her mom was probably asking if she was still going to marry Roy, but that last comment gave me hope that lasted through the entire summer hiatus.

welllll on the nbc official website the episode recap of casino night reveals that pam told her mom that she loved jim...my theory on the rest is as follows

PM- When did he tell you?

p-about ten minutes ago

PM= Did you tell him how you fel about him?

P-no, i didn't know what to say

PM- Well you need to make a decision, you already said no once.

P-yes i know

Pm- Well do you know how you feel?

P-umm i dunno mum, he's my best friend

Pm- Do you think he could ever be more than that?

P-yeah, he's great

Pm- Well are you in love with him too?

P-yeah i think i am

P-umm i have to go

Well it's pretty understandable why she might be crying. She is approaching her wedding with Roy and her best friend has just come out and told her that he loves her. She's pretty shook up.
