--I am full aware this may just be a crap story. I just want the Geno-Popular Domicile to assemble before Ethan does his bit [jerk] and it starts to break down...--

The last few bits of the town in the sphere made a good snack as Lewis progressed (for whatever reason) in the general direction of the Далее town over.
The секунда Bit was to find a good Главная and 'Develop Properly' as per the word-things in the picture making device which developed in the sphere (through the miracle of Mudaik's strange access to technology that shouldn't exist during the Apocalypse).

It was impossible to tell what was real these days.
This sort of thing always happened when Ethan left his Pointe of Reference for too long.
The symptoms were hard to deal with; losing your Five Wits for a while and feeling only what someone back at the Farm felt for a while was a big down.
But deal with them he did. It was always easier than stopping.
Stopping meant he thought.
Thinking meant he felt.
Feeling was... well, suffice to say that a lot can be called into Вопрос when Ты stop to think about your past and actually care....

An egg lay (well, laid while burning a hole in the sidewalk) near a great big Hive thing that was once a 'city'.
A few Harvesters from the Central Hive went out to go get rid of the thing.
The idiots poked it with their Infected fingers.
The odd circular embryos turned a shade of amber...
And burst out of it, devouring the Infected.
The wee circles bunched together until it was a great big circle.
The bits of the stuff inside the cell divided themselves rapidly until there was a vaguely human shape visible underneath the surface.
He was Bit One of a 12 Bit Plan.
A squadron of Infected came outside...

A/N- The Shah rules parts of modern-day Arizona and New Mexico. The Viruses die too easily there because none of them have good heat capacities, which is also why Simon hasn't touched Australia.
It is the секунда Pure-Land of three (The New Colonies of the Purists, and San Francisco after Vievue was done with it).
The Shah is mad, and his Vizier is the only Virus hardy enough to survive in the desert. He traded some of his intelligence to gain this trait, so that's why he's subservient and crap.

Mudaik, the self-appointed Shah of someplace near Tejas watched his manservant/Vizier/Virus pour too...

Terrence heard the downstairs door caving in. It was a good sign that it was probably time to leave.
He grabbed a metal baseball-bat and his pack and raced down the ladder into the yard (which had been previously ruined by what Terrence assumed was a gang of Conduit vandals who roamed the streets these days).
Terrence was always fast; he was comparitively a beam of light to the Violight (the dominant Variation in the area) Infected who were mainly obese morons. He used that to an advantage, because a lot of people wanted him to stop.
The first were the pathetic Viruses that wandered around trying...
