Welcome to the Spoiler Room, a safe place for spoiler addicts to come on a weekly basis to learn what’s coming next on their favorite shows and, hopefully, get a few of their own questions answered. If you want scoop on a specific show, send your questions to spoilerroom@ew.com.
Because it’s the holidays, I went straight to the top to get this for you. “It’s been really fun getting to explore Meredith and where she’s going and who she’s becoming,” executive producer Shonda Rhimes says. “That evolution continues. We’ve been having a blast. The first episode that comes back is extraordinary and very, very powerful, and directed by Denzel Washington. It certainly puts us on a path for the beginning of the second half of the season.”
What can you tease about Wally and Barry’s relationship on
Wally’s introduction could prove difficult for Barry. “Obviously, he wants Joe and Iris to be happy,” Grant Gustin says, noting that Barry and Wally won’t have a ton of interaction right off the bat. “Moving forward, Joe is really the only consistent father figure that Barry has had over the course of his life, so there’s an uneasy feeling there too. ‘Oh, now you actually have a real son, and I’m not your only son or that only person in your life now. I don’t fill that hole.’ “
When will Kara find out about J’onn J’onzz on
I’d say relatively soon since the duo will be working together in a very unique way in an upcoming episode. “He actually pretends to be Supergirl,” David Harewood teases of his shapeshifting hero. “She gets to see Supergirl for the first time, as Kara. It’s quite a thing for her to see herself taking off and flying into the sky. It fills her with pride that there’s this female superhero. She looks awesome.”
in your next column would be great!! Please!!
You actually better hope this juicy tidbit from EP Josh Safran is
talking about Ryan or Alex. “Because the show doesn’t pull any punches, not all of our cast survives the midseason finale,” he says. “It’s sad. It’s been sad for us, too, but it’s also necessary. You can’t really tell a television show about the violence that we inflict on each other without actually following through on that.” Guesses on who falls victim in the comments!
I’d like to know anything on the Holmes and Holmes dynamic on
Morland Holmes has put a roof over Sherlock’s head, paired him with Joan Watson and mended his broken relationship with the NYPD — and yet Sherlock has always said that the man is not to be trusted. In next week’s episode, Sherlock must accept his father’s assistance on a case, and we finally see why he’s always been so wary of Morland’s help.

You’re probably already stressing out about Damon and Stefan landing in the Phoenix Stone, so I’ll make this easy on you … just kidding, I’m going to freak you out even more: “We haven’t seen [Matt in a flash forward],” executive producer Caroline Dries teases. “And I don’t know if that’s a good thing.” Surely, after seven seasons of surviving as a human, they couldn’t kill him, right?
As you may have heard, the season essentially picks up three months after the events of the finale. “Clarke’s on the run basically,” Eliza Taylor tells me. “She’s out by herself in the woods trying to come to terms what she’s done.” But she won’t be alone for very long. As the recent teaser revealed, Clarke is being hunted by just about everyone, though she will come across a friendly face in the premiere.
How will Lincoln’s relationship with Daisy evolve now that they’re working together on
In case you missed it, we’ll see them dating when the show returns for the second half of the season, but I imagine it won’t be easy as Daisy’s Secret Warriors really start to come together. “Being a leader is a mixed bag,” EP Jed Whedon says. “Daisy is going to find out that it’s not just getting to call the shots. The decisions you make you have to live with. She’ll have to face that reality in coming episodes.”
saw Jane and Weller kiss, that turn of events won’t spread like wildfire. “I don’t know that the rest of the team is going to know about the kiss anytime soon,” says EP Martin Gero. With that said, Weller’s feelings for Jane will continue to threaten the team during missions. “I don’t think that will stop,” he says. “Just wait and see, there’s some great stuff coming up between them.”
In what is arguably one of the show’s best holiday episodes to date, Jake, Boyle and Gina find themselves in a
situation, which unfortunately leads to someone from the 9-9 getting suspended.
Best news I’ve heard all week: After a stellar and surprisingly emotional second season,
went out on a hilariously heartwarming note that has me beyond excited for season 3.
That’s a wrap on Spoiler Room for 2015. The column will be back in January, so be sure to email your questions to spoilerroom@ew.com or tweet them to @NatalieAbrams.
