‘Vampire Diaries’ EP Julie Plec Confirms When Nina Dobrev Will Return Again 

Nina Dobrev will be back on ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ and it could happen sooner rather than later. After that surprising cameo in the season 7 finale, EP Julie Plec gives fans an update on another Nina return.

fandom misses you, Nina Dobrev! Executive producer Julie Plec, 43, reveals that Nina, 27, will reprise her role as Elena Gilbert for the series finale of the show, but there’s a possibility she could come back sooner. Delena fans, here’s the scoop you need to know!

“It’s what she and I kind of agreed on when she decided to move on, and it’s what I’ve got in my head,” Julie told our sister site

But in my opinion, she was very clear about what she wanted the next step in her life to be, and she’s doing a great job of achieving that. So I’m sticking with my side of the plan, which is to bring her back at the very end.”
