I want to write a Vampire Diaries/shadow hunters fanfic, any ideas

Damon and Elena are still together. Valentine and Jonathan are still trying to get all the mortal instruments to destroy the entire downworld, which means Damon too. So, basically Elena is human, Kai never put the curse on her linking her and Bonnie.(Elena alseep until Bonnie dies). But I have to get Damon and Elena to New York; I was thinking having Elena be in med school in NYC and Damon coming up on the weekend или Both Damon and Elena are in NYC as a get away. What do Ты think? Any ideas?
