Well, I am sure there are people who dislike Damon and Bonnie together, but he SHOULD have someone, and I don't think that he should be with Elena, so... yes, I think they're good together.

To me Stefan and Elena are together perfectly and harmoniously. I don't think it's fair that Damon was brushed aside and dumped and at first i really wanted her to change her mind and be with him, but i guess it was impossible. To me the saying opposites attract is equal to my view here. If they were together they could help and balance each other out,e.g, Bonnie could bring out the gentle, good side in him. Maybe it's a bit extreme but after all this time i think he deserves someone good who wont run away from him to another guy.

^I think you've explained it really well wild-bby. I think I would have been Elena and Damon shipper if I hadn't seen how she'd fallen for Stefan. At first she's in lust, but gradually you see her passion for him is deep-rooted. She talks less of what he looks like, but how HE feels and how he makes her feel etc. All in all, I think she's head over heels... Ok my Elena rant over. I think Bonnie and Damon do go together, not for the sake of just opposites attract, but because well he er just doen't seem to mind her much. In fact I've always had a nagging suspicion that he's enjoyed having her around :) With Elena he becomes consumed, whereas, around Bonnie he's less er charming and relax - in a sense 'normal'

Yep. Sorry. I feel so awful for Damon. He has nobody. He deserves somebody. Bonnie would be perfect and there's obvious hinting in the book. I don't picture him with Elena. Ever. She's so in love with Stefan and Damon.....Well they just don't seem as...suited...to each other as Damon and Bonnie. I nearly cried when his heart had almost shined out through the rock only to be covered again.

I absolutely did not get the Bonnie/Damon thing, and I still don't (Don't hate me shippers) I just don't like it, it doesn't feel passionate to me. And I agree, It seems like it came out of no where. I was always under the impression that Bonnie thought Damon was hot and he felt she was just another pretty girl to toy with.

I don't understand how they're end game. I really don't see where it's coming from. I don't see the attraction between them, the only two I see Damon could be with (at this moment) would be Katherine or Elena, those seem to be the only two he actually cares about - not a great deal with Elena, but still the way he came to her aid with the car thing and the way he looked at her when she was sleeping. It's probably only transference because she looks exactly like Katherine, but still he doesn't have anything with Bonnie.

admittly, I made this pick long before the show came on..and even then I still didn't see how Damon TRUELY cares for Bonnie, witch or not, I don't think it matters on what she is, but rather who she is with Damon. ;)

I hate Damon and Bonnie as a couple so much! they only had a mild flirtation in the books and even that was mostly due to Damon's uh...womanizing tendencies, if you will and I really feel that they don't have any chemistry (in the books and show) whatsoever.

I havent read the books, but going off the show, Bamon are nothing. He tried to kill her, she hates him, she saved them for Elena only, Damon confessed his feelings for "elena" (even if it was Katherine).
They are going no where at the moment.

Why Bonnie and Damon? She likes him because he's hot. Great reason. Damon loves Elena and has loved her forever. Sure, at first he only loved her to make Stefan jealous but after a while, he fell in love with her for who she was. Elena can bring out the humanity in Damon better than anyone. Damon could change for Elena and he would. Damon wouldn't change for Bonnie. Can you seriously picture Bonnie being Damon's princess of darkness. Bonnie evil? I sure can't. They don't have any chemistry, unlike Damon and Elena. Has anyone else noticed how Bonnie has always had a secret passion for Stefan? Stefan cares about Bonnie more than any of the other humans as well, besides Elena of course. Why shouldn't those two be together? I love Bamon too, but i don't think they are random, not even in the show. Bonnie hates him, much like elena does, at the moment, so it is not to hard to believe that in the future that these feelings will change. They are going to have to work together. He cares for her a lot in the books, does not want her hurt and they do have sweet moments in the books and i hope to see this development in the show. As katherine said "hate sounds like a beginning of a love story, not the end".

In the books it is a little different. I'm only on the fourth book and so far Bonnie seems to think that Damon is sexy but she knows that it wouldn't happen. It also seems that she likes Matt more than any of the guys though in the fourth book she's been seen thinking about Stefan, Alaric, Damon and Matt all as sexy. She does feel bad about thinking that of Stefan and Alaric, Stefan especially because Elena is dead so she thinks 'wow, I'm a good friend for wanting my dead bet friend's boyfriend!' and Alaric because he and Meredith are sort of together.

I've never read the books. So I wouldn't know about them. If they are together in them. But on the show they aren't and Bonnie's really never shown interest in him.
