It was a simple fact that if she did tell him, Damon would have gone crazy, so she couldn't. But she stayed with Tyler through everything even though he could have killed her, so she definitely doesn't deserve to get tortured. HOWEVER, I honestly do not think it is Tyler that does it, the promo made it seem that way but it is totally Jules. Because for the whole episode Tyler is with Damon and Stefan so he couldn't be in two places at once. I don't think he even knows Caroline is getting tortured by the crazy bitch. Remember CW promos can be VERRRRRY misleading, tomb!sex anyone? So I really don't think it's Tyler that is hurting Caroline.
