Previous answers of mine about this:

I think with SE and DK you always have that one-note relationship. It didn't go anywhere. No depth to it. But with SK and DE they show build-up. Damon and Katherine is hot but don't have the angsty chemistry that SK have. Because of their characters, not the actress/actor. And DE have the angsty chemistry, where as SE are brotherly/sisterly.

I usually see chemistry between actors, so it's weird to see it just between characters. Although I don't think I've ever seen a show where a lead plays two completely different people either so..

About DE/SK:

Okay, well I'll break them down couple wise:

Damon/Katherine - Hot hot hot! No depth, no potential, no nothing. They're nice to look at though.

Stefan/Katherine - YES PLEASE! They have the chemistry, the story, the everything and they are damn hot together.

Stefan/Katherine/Damon triangle - This triangle was only interesting in 1864.

Stefan/Elena - Pretty much the same as Damon/Katherine except they have no chemistry, so they have pretty much nothing going for them.

Damon/Elena - They have it all and more. Hottest couple on TVD, easily

Damon/Elena/Stefan triangle - Hasn't really started yet so can't judge.

The reason I voted for Damon/Katherine/Stefan was because at least both sides have chemistry with eachother, and the triangle is mildly interesting where as the Damon/Elena/Stefan triangle only has one redeemable point and that's Damon/Elena.

It just means that Nina is a great actress. She's able to play two completely different characters both of which interact with the same character differenly. That's why Katherine and Stefan have chemestry while Elena and Stefan don't.

I don't think it's exactly the "chemistry". I think it's because the SK scenes are written better than the SE scenes imo. Also I love the dynamics between SK while I don't hate SE but I find their scenes sometimes boring.

I think it's just stupid.

OMG! I thought the same thing! So weird...

It' not weird just because SE do have chemistry is just that DE fanbase don't want to see that.
