Xander Berkeley coming to The Walking Dead season 6 in mystery role 

 cast has found a new face for season 6, but viewers will have to wait a little while before they feel his presence on the show.

 star Xander Berkeley has been cast in the upcoming season, but will not debut until season 6’s second half.

As TVLine first reported, the name of Berkeley’s character name has not yet been revealed, but he is

set to play the comic book character Negan. He will, however, have some personality traits similar to the leader of the Saviors, including his big ego and his survival instincts and enoy the sense of power and control Negan does in the comics. As TVLine also noted, his deal for appearing on the show includes the potential for a series regular position in season 7.

’s sixth season will premiere on Oct. 11 on AMC.
