Chapter 2
It’s a very green world
Valeston was… very green. No like really very very green. I mean, Ты couldn’t go away with one turn without seeing at least one tree. Plus there was a ton of ecosystem signs saying save the planet, keep your hometown clean.
It was as if Earth день was every day, and Эй, I like a clean environment but this was just too much. Father had his mouth puckered in distaste, and he made sure he glared at anyone who looked his way или walked past him.
This was going to be a horrible year.
“Valeston, Ты can just smell the pathetic desperation of these losers,” Azerien said, while smiling, he waved at a couple of gawking girls and they giggled accordingly. “They make me sick.”
“Just give Valeston a try,” I say, “were going to be living here anyway.”
“Your sister is right, have respect for the place you’ll be living in.” Father сказал(-а) as Azerien bowed his head in shame, “were going to be here for awhile.”
Your definition of awhile или mine, I wanted to say but I held my tongue, because father wouldn’t hesitate in giving me a huge хлопать, привкус for my snarky comments.
“Come children,” he said. “Junior must rest for school.”
I gritted my teeth, as Azerien smiled broadly, I refused to call him Junior because that’s not his name, but just because father favors him еще doesn’t mean he gets special treatment.
“And what about me daddy? Do I get to go school?” I сказал(-а) making sure I used the word daddy, instead of father.
“You’ll be going too my child, your schedule’s arrive tomorrow and you’ll be attending school the день after.”
“That soon!” Azerien screeched, eliciting a sharp glare from father.
“Yes that soon, now stop your whining and follow me, Ты both must rest for the days ahead of you.” He snapped before setting off in a brisk pace.
Azerien rolled his eyes and grabbed my arm towing me with him towards father. After about a good deal of walking we stopped in front of a simple classy house, and I felt my spirits lift a little with the nice place we’d be settling in. But I felt myself deflate a little at the soon to be violent memories that accompany with it.
“Here we are,” father said, and walked to the door, where he unlocked it and stepped in. Azerien and I grudgingly took the luggage and followed him in our new house.
“Wow,” I murmured, and Azerien nodded in agreement.
“Unpack all of your things, by the time your done ужин will be on the таблица and Ты will eat,” father instructed, staring at us pointedly. “After Ты finish go straight to bed, Ты have your own bathrooms in your rooms and a mini refrigerator so Ты shouldn’t come out until tomorrow.”
“And if I see Ты sneaking out,” he continued. “The punishments will be most severe, understood?”
We both nodded, and Azerien cleared his throat, “are Ты going somewhere?”
“What I do is my business.” Father replied, which is basically a yes from him.
Azerien nodded and then, with me by his side, hauled our luggage to our new rooms.
I sat unpacking until I got to the picture of my mom, and I froze staring at it with intensity. Where was she when I needed her? She’d never treat us like this, and father would’ve been much kinder.
I held the picture to my chest right at the part of my сердце and whispered, “I Любовь you”, before my eyes started watering and fresh tears glided down my rosy cheeks.
Life would be so much easier with her here.
Two days later and I found myself raising a trembling hand to the door. Today was just horrible, when father came back the morning before he seemed startled, startled, my father’s never the scared one and yet he jumped at the tiniest sounds.
And when I turned on the news I found out why, he was almost caught, caught! By a group of kids who just happened to be in the woods at the same time he was. Father never had been caught, even if it was almost. But what if he had been caught? What would happen to me and Azerien?
I was so freaked that I thought when walking out the door I’d find helicopters and police blocking our way out. But I was pleased and so utterly relieved to find nothing out there but a newspaper.
I took a deep breaths, 1, 2, 3, and release. “Here goes nothing,” I whisper twisting the knob and entering.
I try not to flinch as pairs of eyes face toward me, and I felt as if they knew who my father was, who I was and were ready to turn me in. But after a few секунды I realized they were staring because I was the ‘new girl’.
“Ah, Ты must be the new transfer they were talking about,” a handsome young man with black hair said. “I’m Mr. Raquirez, I know weird last name, but blame my mother, she was the idiot that married my dad.”
The class burst into laughter and I returned his warm smile saying, “I bet she’s regretting every second.”
Mr. Raquirez laughed, “of course she is.”
“Hi I’m Summer Johnson Seraries,” I said, using the pseudonym I had picked out when I was twelve, so I wouldn’t have to be Zyanna Connor, I could be a normal kid for just a few precious hours, and even Azerien couldn’t mess that up.
“Nice to meet Ты Summer, take a сиденье, место, сиденья where you’d like?”
I smiled tightly back at him as I faced the now intimidating students, I swear at those words people started putting book bags in vacant areas. In the end, I chose a сиденье, место, сиденья Далее to a bubbly perky blonde girl, her hair was just a tint darker than my own, and she had a smile bright enough that it beat the sun in comparison.
“Summer right?” She asked in a sweet, вишня voice that sounded like honey. “You look еще like an Autumn, can I call Ты Autumn?”
“Sure,” I heard myself say, feeling the need to please to her.
The pretty girl beamed at me. “Great! My name’s Caitlyn, though Caitlyn is so average. Anyway everyone calls me Cali, because I was born in California, but my family moved around a lot. They decided to settle here when I was ten, I’ve been here ever since.”
“But why Переместить here?” I asked, because even though this place was nice, I could think of better.
Cali shrugged, “their archaeologists, this town has been here since the 1800’s, even though a lot of new stuff was built with it, I guess it intrigued them.”
“And they be with their family while still getting to do the things they love.” I said, thinking about how father dragged Azerien and I to almost every country.
“Si Senora,” Cali сказал(-а) grinning at me. “Welcome to Valeston high, were everything’s green.” She rolled her eyes, “annoys all of us too, forewarning never eat anything green in the cafeteria.”
“Even if it’s vegetables?” I asked.
“Even if it’s vegetables,” she said, nodding seriously.

I will remember Ты always.
Will Ты remember me?
That is a Вопрос for Ты to answer,
And not me.
I promise
That I will always
Keep the flame of memory alive.
The fun that we had will never
Be forgotten.
Even on foggy evenings,
The darkest of nights,
Ты will always be in my heart.
For I know that Ты will help me
Keep the flame of memory blazing
Always.
All the good times that we had,
All the fun that we had,
All the tears that we let out,
All the anger we let out
Will never be wasted.
Because every минута of it
Is in my heart.
I will tend to the огонь
Every night,
Recollecting all the memories we have
Knowing that the flame of memory
Is the brightest flame of all
And it will blaze on.
Will Ты remember me?
That is a Вопрос for Ты to answer,
And not me.
I promise

I am a broken-winged eagle
Who cannot fly
Because I have set no goal for myself.
Other people laugh and scoff at me,
And I know that I must quickly find something
To hope for.
Everyday I think,
"What's the use? Nothing is my talent. Give up."
People think I am nothing but stupid,
But I can see that light within myself.
I have not yet soared.
I have not yet found my dream.
One day, I find something unique to dream for.
Writing.
Something that can take me to faraway places
Anywhere, beyond this universe.
And now I can soar.
Far, far, faraway
Where no one can catch me.
Where no one can disturb me.
Where I can be free.
Where I will no longer be
A broken-winged eagle.
Who cannot fly
Because I have set no goal for myself.
Other people laugh and scoff at me,
And I know that I must quickly find something
To hope for.
Everyday I think,

but now its over
and i am not going back
had my сердце broken
had my dreams blown away
it only took Ты a second
to rearrange my whole day
I use to know you
but now its over
and i see that now
Ты blew me away
far from here
and i couldnt make it back
but i bet Ты knew that
I use to know
someone like you
he was friendly
but i left him behind
in the rain
in the cold
where i couldnt see him
i hope you're different
it would help
if Ты werent exactly like him
nice to know you
but i must go
and protect my soul
how nice of Ты to stop by
but please go Главная now
I use to know you
but now im long gone
and it feels great'
to leave that burden behind
i wont see Ты again
i wont be there when Ты fall
just know that i
wont pick Ты up again
Hi. My name is Jake Gartner, and right now, basically a huge mutant serpent is coming to глотать, ласточка me whole, tear me to pieces of flesh, so I have no time to talk right now. Oh, um...you want to follow me? Sure, just accept that everyday will be the best of the thrills. Right now, we are not getting any help from the immortal world, so just know that we have a horrible system of magic right now, and we have an extremely low supply of weapons, thus, the chance that Ты will get out of this mess is around eighty-six percent. (because of me, the master of war) Oh yeah, the serpent. Enough talk. (ROARS) Off to kill a mutant serpent!!! (stabs, deflects, cuts a gash in its head, dies) That's only our first one, trainee. Whatever your name is. Далее time, I invite Ты to Присоединиться with us on our battle. And it will be even еще life-consuming, if Ты know what that means.
I walk into
The Fields of Sorrow
Once again.
Why do I walk there
Almost everyday?
I stroll along the grasses
Thinking
Bearing a horrible pain.
I think of the world around me
And how much they have inspired me.
I start to cry once again.
All my teachers
All my friends,
They have always stood by me,
When things went wrong.
I want a chance to repay them,
To Показать them that...
Their work was useful.
To Показать them that
I am truly thankful.
Why do I have to leave them then
Now?
No, now's not a good time.
But I know it was not intended
That I leave them now.
I want to Показать all those people
That they have been
The change of my life,
That they have made my life so much
Better,
That they were the flames
In the darkness.
The Fields of Sorrow
Once again.
Why do I walk there
Almost everyday?
