August 12
It's Sunday afternoon as Corey Louis stares straight up at his ceiling. What was the point of getting up if Ты had nothing better to do then to be bored или die. It was a common thought he has been thinking since Friday evening when Blair didn't return any of his calls. She was probably too busy hanging out with the new girl, Chloe, then to be worried about him. He could just walk down the block to her house and demand why she wasn't answering his calls. That could probably upset her and there was always the possibility that she wasn't home. School was the only thing that gave his meaningless life a meaning. He wanted so badly to have a social life.
Once more, he stared at the phone book that lie right beside him. He could at least try. What was the harm? Then again his life could turn into a social бабочка if he did call. He decided against it. It was a tempting offer but asking Shea for fashion Совет wasn't something he was mentally of physically prepared for.
Eric Morrow's dirty blonde bangs got into his eyes once more. He did, what Shea liked to call, the Bieber Flip. It only momentarily got the hair out his eyes. It was long enough for him to see where he was going. It was the middle of the afternoon and he had promised his mom that he would greet the new neighbors once they got settled in. It has been officially a week since he first saw the moving van. He decided now was a good time before he forgot. With a блюдо of Шоколад печенье and a warm smile, he knocked on the neighbor's wooden door. It would have been a nice thing to learn their names but it was too late to reflect on what could have been done.
A thin woman with blonde hair and blue eyes smiled at him. She was wearing an фартук that had paint stains on them. A girl's voice voice came ringing from the back. "Mom, who is at the door? Is it the пицца man?" That voice, it sounded so familiar and yet he couldn't point it out.
"Hello, I am Eric and I live right by your house. I just wanted to come and welcome Ты to the neighborhood." He tried hiding his shyness but it was so hard hen he was so shy. She sensed it.
"Well, thank you. Tell your mom thanks for making Ты come and welcome us." Her humor twinkled in her blue eyes. "Do Ты want to come in?"
"Since I smell no pizza, I am guessing that is not the пицца delivery man." Chloe Sanders appeared Далее to her mom. Besides the hair and eye color they had the same bone structure. Her grin fell as soon as she saw Eric. "What are Ты doing here and how did Ты get my address?"
"Honey, be nice," warned her mom.
"I live right Далее door," Eric explained. "I was just welcoming Ты to the neighborhood.
"Oh."
"Well, thanks again dear," сказал(-а) the mom. She slowly closed the door as Erica left. Why was she everywhere?
Shea was one of the many girls who was there when Derek Tonkin's jet landed. She held up a sign with his name on it and her phone number. If only the guard weren't blocking him, maybe he could see her number and call her. She wanted so desperately for him to Любовь her. She craved it. She would die for it. He just held up his hand and walked away into the limo. Some of the girls wanted to chase it but Shea knew it was pointless.
Her best friend, Terra Walters, was right beside her as they retreated from the parking lot. "Can Ты believe those guards? They were so rude."
"I know right," agreed Terra. She would have agreed with Shea regardless if it was true или not. "They were so hogging him. There was no possible way we could see him."
"Humph, what do we do now?" Shea asked as she kicked around some rocks. Her attention was еще on Derek and Erica. She wanted Derek to notice her but she also wanted Erica to stop chastising her every time she wanted to tease someone. It was her thing. Deep down in her, Shea knew she ridiculed others because it made her feel better about herself and her life. She only has her dad for support. Her mom moved away to Colorado without telling anyone. It was painful. Teasing was how she healed the pain. She knew it wasn't right but it made her feel better.
With a final step, they were at Shea's silver convertible. It was the only thing her mom gave her. She got it for her birthday last year. "We could invite Eric and his friend Jason over," suggested Terra. She was always looking for ways to chat with James Kingsley. He was captain of the baseball team.
"Yeah, that sounds like fun." Shea thought for a moment before saying anything else. "My dad should be working late tonight. So yeah, let's do it."
Blair Borgen was trying to study her passive and active verbs but her head wheeled back towards Eric. Was he really into Shea? Couldn't he see that Shea was an evil, twisted, manipulative, girl? In a way, she felt sorry for him. Not only does he have to deal with her, he has to deal with his new found popularity.
She could remember freshmen year. They were both sitting on the bleachers when Shea walked up to them. She was still confident and arrogant but she wasn't as cruel as she is now. He stared hard at Eric. He had thick glasses and his dirty blonde hair was then curly. His hair was a Рапунцель - Запутанная история mess. Blair could still see some cuteness in him. "Loose the glasses and fix your hair and then maybe Ты could be worthy to be my boyfriend." Shea сказал(-а) that and turned away off to the other side of the football field.
"Like I would ever loose my glasses," сказал(-а) Erica. "They're my signature look." Eric was laid back then and not so high strung. He was chill about everything. He rarely cared about embarrassing things his mom said. In fact, he encouraged it. Now, he rejects anything his mom says, worries еще about his appearance then his school grades, and is falsely in Любовь with Shea Wainwright.
