if Billy is paralysed in his legs how does he drive the car in the movie?

There are special cars that are driven with the hands, I guess he had one of those.

he isn't paralyzed, he has arthritis in his knees so he can still Переместить his feet. but in the book Jacob drives the truck.

That's a really good Вопрос and even me,myself been puzzled about that. I guess the car is specially made for people like him.

They have special things that help people like Billy drive and take showers and do many other things with out other people.
