She loves Jacob because he was there when she needed him the most, like he filled a void in her darkest times. He made her happy for a time being, however when Edward returned all the repressed feelings she had just came crashing down on her. As they say the first Любовь always makes an impact in one's life, in this case it made еще than an impact, it left a great big hole. Edward is perfect for Bella(some may disagree) but Jacob was too. The strange connection between them maybe it was because of Nessie.After all after Bella gave birth to her everything fell into place not just for Jacob but for her too...She didn't feel any special bond between them anymore..he was just her friend...as he should be from the beginning.
