Once he met Nessie...he was pretty much over it. He fell in Любовь with Nessie at first glance and though he requested not to be told the whole truth..he knew that because of Nessie...Bella was gonna be happy for the rest of her 'life' and that Edward and the Cullens played a major part in that.
