That was my Избранное line out of the whole series "Good bye Jacob..my brother...my son"...it shows that in the end Edward truely asccepted Jacob as part of his family. It still makes me tear up when I read it.

Edward didnt have a say in the matter on who Jacob imprinted on....even though Jacob didnt like Вампиры at the beginging, after coming together against the new borns and standing up against the Volturi, he came to respect and like the Cullens. Everyone misses the в общем и целом, общая message of the Twilight series....'acceptance no matter who или what Ты are'.
