Here we are, in Europe, where Alice and Jasper's staying as far away from Edward as possible. It is here that Alice recieves a startling vision.

Jasper ran into the bedroom to get dressed, leaving me in the кухня to daydream. I still don't know why our neighbor kept checking in on us. We wouldn't have to keep up the act if she weren't so suspicious. And we're lucky I saw her visiting, или she'd visit еще often if she saw us wearing what we wore yesterday.
I stopped. I was no longer looking at the detail painted on the walls, but at a red, beat-up truck driving down the road. And who should be the driver but a crying Bella. It's been months! She should be improving! Then I saw a flash of orange, which made the truck stop so violently, the airbag went off. Bella was unconscious as Victoria took her out of the truck. In the old house, Bella was placed on Edward's old leather couch. The covers were taken off, and everything that Edward owned and left was facing Bella. Victoria was standing in the corner. Her head was cocked to the side, as if she were curious about the human in the room. Then she smiled when Bella started to awaken.
"Oh, Bella," she whispered, mimicking Renee's voice. "Wake up, hon, или you'll miss it."
"Mom, miss what?" Bella asked, eyes still closed. Then they opened. She gasped when she saw where she was. Then she started to cry.

When he caught up to him somewhere in Denali, he made it nice and quick," Victoria lied. "But then I told Laurent I was going to kill you, and he left to find you. Never send a male to do a female's job. I smelled his bonfire later, and I knew those sadistic Волки had destroyed him. I followed Ты after Ты kicked the youngest in the muzzle, what's his name, Jacob? Yes. He caught my scent and ran to warn you, not knowing I was right there. He was pretty easy to eliminate when he wasn't with his pack."
Bella choked.
"No, please, stop," she cried.
"Did I metion Laurent had talked to Edward before he attacked? It's a thing of his, making Ты lose your guard," Victoria continued. "Edward was harder. Laurent сказал(-а) that at one point, Edward сказал(-а) something about a beautiful vampire in a coven nearby. Lovely, very sweet, and easy to fall in Любовь with. Edward was planning on changing his vegetarian ways for her."
"Edward would never do such a thing, not for her, not for anyone!" Bella yelled.
"Well, that's before he met her, and before Laurent attacked," Victoria sneered. "And it seems as though he didn't Любовь Ты even close as much."
Bella screamed and threw a picture at her. I saw it was the picture of herself that Edward treasured. Victoria only laughed, holding it up.
"Look, he left two of you," she pushed. "He obviously doesn't want to keep any part of Ты behind. Look at what happened. He's dead, I'm still here, and the волк isn't coming back to save you. Feel free to use the нож if this is too much."
Bella stared at the knife. Then she started to cry again. Between sobs she spoke.
"The one I loved is dead, Jacob died trying to warn me, even after what I did to him, and I'm still alive. It's my fault. All mine. I deserve to die," she said. She placed the нож point to her heart. She gasped as Victoria suddenly appeared and placed her hand on the нож handle.
"What's funny is, Ты actually believed me. Both of them are still alive," she laughed. She started to push the нож into her chest when all of a sudden the vision disappeared.
Jasper was there in front of me with a worried expression. I ignored him for once and grabbed my cell phone off the counter. I dialed Edward's number. Edward answered on the first ring.
"Alice, Ты haven't called in a while. What is it?"
I paused. How can I break the news to him without him freaking out and killing himself?
"Edward... Bella... Victoria found her, and сказал(-а) Ты were dead. Bella killed herself."
The line went dead.
